We dont know much really ! But @dan has just resigned from Steemit !!! Heres his resignation post !! And I might add that more of an explanation should have been given! We will just have to wait and see what ned has to say !

I'm not worrying about it, because it means that there probably will be some big changes coming up afterwards with dan out of the loop. Like flat rewards and a massive reduction in SBD issuance.
It could turn out to be a really good thing if it means that the decisions made are ones that the would-be investors like the sound of.
Plus although it can be bumpy and uncertain for a little while these kinds of big changes usually are for the better. Reading again through the WP you can definitely say that in almost every area the theory has been disproven. SBD not a daily balance. Steem not a payment instrument. Power curve reward distribution.
Doesn't change the fact that even without Steemit.inc, if it dissolved tomorrow, that someone would adopt the project. A helluvalot of work has been done and data has been gathered. I think we will see a renaissance in the next few months.
Well i sure hope your right and do agree to a degree ! Lol ! It would sure be a shame for it to desolve like you say and im sure it wont , at the very least someone else will come in and take over ! Steeming on ! 👍
