We might think that decentralization seems to be something that is fashionable, something that will end sometime and now, but I think (particularly) that thinking in this way is very far from reality.

If we think in detail about the importance of social networks today, we would be surprised at the scope they have, the amount of time we dedicate to them, and it is so much that for many their work is focused on them.

If you do not know what a decentralized social network is, you are in the right place to clarify that doubt, I invite you to continue reading this publication.

These concepts that might seem alien to us, are closer to us than we can think, and for a long time we have them at our fingertips (literally), if I mention the words facebook, twiter, instagram, google, surely know what I am talking about, being very located, well, that is what we call centralized social networks, that is, it was created by a person and our "secret" information is at the hand of the creator of said network, who can generally use it to his craving, like just happened with facebook information.

Centralized social networks offer us global services that in turn depend on the same company or provider, but by making use of these, we are giving authorization to that company to use our data for any purpose, and even profit from our information, without have the obligation of economic benefit for us.

That is, someone owns our information (photos, videos, writings, etc.)

When we talk about Decentralized networks, we refer to a relatively new trend, which has been created from the creation of the blockchain, benefiting everyone with independence in publications and also monetizing in cryptocurrencies, giving everyone the opportunity to be worthy of the amount we earn based on what we dedicate ourselves to, the time we spend in the development of this network, the novelty, among many other things.

Examples: Sphere, Sola, Sociall, BuzzShow, APPICS, FlipNpik, Creativechain, Twister, among many more, and I can not fail to mention our platform favorit Steemit

Well, since you have an idea of what centralized and decentralized social networks are, I ask you:

Do you think it's a trend that more and more decentralized networks are emerging?

I asked myself, in fact it is the reason why I decided to write this post, my answer was the following:

There has been a great change in the way of doing things since the emergence of the blockchain, especially affected the financial area, but came to the creation of networks on a new style and way of sharing information, where We can receive a payment for our creation in the form of cryptocurrencies.

This makes both the financial and networks join, making them more attractive, in addition to the fact of being decentralized allows you not to be "governed or directed" by someone specific, but you are the owner and creator of what you write on your blog , being the information displayed there of public order, you will only share what you want to share, and nobody (central order) tells you what to do, let alone take your information to take advantage of it without affecting you in a beneficial way.

In short, I do not think it's a fad, but that it responds to a historical context, in which the way of doing things is changing more and more rapidly, and it is necessary to adapt the ways of communicating, of producing, of break that dominance they have over us through a few companies that have the almost absolute power of networks.

And you, what do you think about it? I would like to know what you have to say about this topic :-)

Gracias.
