Who to Follow on Steemit If You Love Real Estate

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

I'm a real estate guy. I like to look at house porn and love to talk about real estate. I will talk to anyone who will listen about investing in real estate. I love it so much in fact, that I started an investors meetup group where we all sit around and talk about investing in real estate for a couple of hours a week. We talk about what to buy, where to buy, and how to buy. So when I come to Steemit - as much I'm addicted to Crypto - I still want to get my real estate fix. Of course I am blogging about real estate - but I really want to hear about what others are saying and doing in the industry.

One of the first things I noticed about Steemit was that there seems to be a very small real estate community. In fact "Real Estate" doesn't even come up on the list of tags when looking for a subject matter to read about.

As such, I thought it would be nice to check out all the bloggers who are talking about real estate and put together a list of them so that other Steemians who are interested in the topic would know who is writing about it and who to follow. So I looked through all the articles tagged with "real estate" and then looked up the authors to see how much of their content was real estate related - turns out that a lot of people mention it - but not a lot of them specialize in it. I hope this will help to shine a light on those who are trying to grow the community posting articles directly relating to real estate.

The list is ordered by those who's content is mostly about properties, home buying , or investing in real estate.

1.) @jorlauski - I would be remiss if I didn't mention that this my specialty and that I eat, sleep, and breath real estate. I try to incorporate a crytocurrency twist into my articles because I know that this particular community is into that - so I will post up things about how crypto is being used to buy properties or how the blockchain may affect the future of RE transactions. I also post up pics of my current house flipping project and look forward to posting updates on all my future house flips as well. I will also periodically post stuff about my dogs and my outdoor and gardening adventures.

2.) @api-magazine - You will find plenty of articles about real estate on this blog. api-magazine post up articles about how to build up your portfolio, tips for new investors, calculating rental yields, etc. Follow them for a steady stream of real estate posts. The bulk of their articles are focused on growing your portfolio of estate and they already have a ton of content to look through. I highly recommend this blog.

3.) @redwood419 - Another pure play real estate blog where most of the articles are real estate centric. The writer is an appraiser and he posts a lot of blogs about locations and towns and does a pretty good job of breaking down an area and it's history. If you are looking for places to invest - you might want to check out this blog and get the low down on some of the cities and towns that he highlights. There are some really great pictures of buildings and historical sites as well.

4.) @bobthebuilder - This is an investor and house flipper who posts articles about buying real estate and also has a mix of other topics and fun things. The blog is not 100% dedicated to real estate , but it does have plenty of articles and I anticipate more RE articles coming down the pipeline. Follow @bobthebuilder to get tips and hints about buying real estate.

Honorable Mentions

Below are are some bloggers who are inclined to post up real estate related articles periodically - but that is not their main focus.

5.) @grantcardone - The first is my favorite - is this guy Grant Cardone - I cant believe that with everything he does , he still has time to Steemit! He is full of unbridled enthusiasm and encourages people to just get up off their ass and do it - he is a highly motivational sales coach who has trained thousands of students in the art of making sales. He is bulldog that does not take "no" for an answer.

6.) @goldsilverguide - There is more info here about silver and gold than real estate - but still, when there is slim pickings in Steem - then we want to uncover as many sources as we can and you are likely to find RE stories here mingled in with other articles on investing and other related topics.

I hope you found this list useful - if so, please upVote, follow, and re-Steem. As you can see - the list is not very long, so I would love to help build up the real estate momentum on Steemit - please help me by spreading the word to others that there is thriving community right here under our noses.

If you write articles about real estate or investing in it, please let me know and I will give you a shout out.
