Our advice to new Steemit Users!

Hello steemit users! As once starting steemit ourselves(me and my brother), it can be quite daunting at first as you need to familiarise yourself with some of the guidelines but that's nothing to panic about! Me and my brother are still no steemit experts but we would just like to give some little tips to point steemit beginners in the right direction.

Tip 1: Be creative - Try and be as original as possible. It's best to pick something you enjoy (a hobby maybe) so you don't become stuck for ideas.

Tip 2: Get to know other users on here - The steemit community is full of really kind and interesting people who will support you in every post you make. So be sure to get to know them well and encourage them just as much as they encourage you. You can do this by upvoting their posts, commenting positive messages on their posts and thanking people if they have dropped you a kind message one of your own posts.

Tip 3: Don't post more than 4 times a day- I guess it's to prevent spam and get more quality content from users!

Tip 4: Introduce yourself well from the start- If possible, get a photo of yourself holding up a piece of paper with your name on it, the steemit logo and the month that you joined. You might (in the description) also want to tell other users a little a bit about yourself as well. E.g your hobbies/specialties, your nationality and your personality traits.

Tip 5: Try and post as regularly as you can (without exceeding the 4 post a day limit)- When you get into the rhythm of uploading more, other users will be more interested in following you! I know it's hard with other commitments whether it be work, school or just daily life but whenever you have free time, give it a go! Even if you post just one quality post a week.

Tip 6: Don't get downhearted if at the very beginning your posts aren't getting the amount upvotes you wish for- Remember, users need time to see your potential! It's also important to stay motivated. So if the minority want to put you down, you can come back even stronger in your next post.

Tip 7 (the most important one)- HAVE FUN- In our opinion, the soul purpose of social media is to spread your own message and to entertain yourself as well as others whilst doing so.

So to summarise this post: have fun, be yourself and never ever give up! The beauty of Steemit is that it gives every user an equal chance to become successful. It's just whether your willing to take the opportunity?
