Steemit is Against Freedom of Speech or Plagiarism?steemCreated with Sketch.

in #steemit7 years ago

What is Steemit for? Is Steemit for original content? What is original? What is the definition of original? King Solomon said thousands of years ago in Proverbs that there is nothing new under the sun and therefore maybe everything is or could be like plagiarism or kind a a repeat or rerun or reboot or recycle of themes or something like Disney plagiarizes their own films you could argue when you are able to detect repeats in themes and words.
.
I will show you more below.
.
But I also want to show you a video from Alex Jones of Info Wars who plagiarized Stephan Colbert of the CBS show whom created Tuck Buckford of Brain Fight which plagiarized Alex Jones or is a parody and it might be funny or not. Is it hate speech? Is it plagiarism? What is a parody? This is a deep debate. Here is the video below:
.

.

Some on Steemit would say I CANNOT SHARE THAT VIDEO ABOVE.
.
And this is something people should think more about.
.
We left Facebook because of FLAGGERS.
.
YouTube, Reddit, Twitter, and others are censoring too much like CHINA.
.
Do we want Steemit to become CHINA AND COMMUNISM?

.
Here are comments I made below:

Some comments I made related to freedom, below, can be found at the following link:

@clixmoney, in college, some professors accuse students of plagiarism and copying and stealing and in some cases those students did not commit plagiarism and that is the tricky part
.
In other cases, parts of an essay or speech may be partly the same like on how they compared the speeches of Michelle Obama with Melania Trump. Obama actually stole it from other people or partly. Sometimes, we may steal bits and pieces of something from other people. It is a very complex debate and issue that goes deeper than most people even know or could imagine. It is not a simple yes or no of did you plagiarized or not. It is more a question of the level of how similar something might be when compared to other things like it. The copyright world is full of these complex cases. They write books about these things.

We are entering deep waters.

.

@allasyummyfood, you GET PAID FOR GETTING PEOPLE TO COME.... it is not about work.... it is about getting people to come and to look and stuff..... the point is the end result..... you cannot really know or care about how you get to the end result...... and your ideology behind WORK comes from a perspective that is like of RELATIVITY as OPPOSED to OBJECTIVITY

.

@seymourbucks, @allasyummyfood, YOUTUBE VIDEOS ARE CREDITED because it is built into the design and you can see where it comes from by clicking on it and then you can see the content and that works as an ad or marketing which is worth money and bringing in traffic is also valuable too and those people would pay you money to share their stuff and videos onto even STEEMIT and that is good because NO PUBLICITY IS BAD PUBLICITY and it gets people to click on the link in the VIDEO PLAYER already and that means no write up is required because IT IS ALREADY IN THE VIDEO PLAYER and you click on it and go to the original source and that is worth money and they should give you money for you to share their stuff with STEEMIT which means you did NOT STEAL IT because you are working for them and THEY OWE YOU MONEY FOR MARKETING VIDEOS FOR THEM BY SHARING THEIR VIDEOS AND THEY SHOULD PAY YOU MONEY WHEN YOU SHARE THEIR VIDEOS WHICH MEANS IT IS NOT STEALING WHEN IT IS WORK

.
Steemit is about original content?

I disagree... Steemit is not about original content because nothing is original and you cannot prove that anything is original and the purpose of the website is deeper than that.

.

@allasyummyfood, that is not spamming..... you need to grow up because you are just like all those other kids screaming words like "SPAM" all the time and you think that anything you disagree with is spam

.

@allasyummyfood is telling people to make money by stealing money from other people who created either new content or a new presentation which is like new contents which features pre-existing content and that is what we do all the time.... a guy shared a video from Fox... people share videos from Info Wars..... we are sharing things from other people.... even the words and language we use come from other people who invented those words..... language is not even our own

.

@allasyummyfood is trying to turn this website into China because where do you draw the line between what is what and there are reasons why people are leaving Facebook and Twitter and YouTube and other places.... they are trying to get away from communism, socialism, invisible rules, the social justice warriors (SJWs) and others...... this is not a decentralized kind of thing to do

.

@allasyummyfood but that sounds like hate speech.... but I am not saying we cannot do or not do hate speech..... I believe the freedom of speech includes hate speech...... I believe in letting people steal and lie.... the real people can still compete and rise above the bad people.... maybe the robbers are bad.... but do we really have the time or right to get whales to drown bad people until they are at the bottom of Reputation Ocean?

.

whether something is canned or not does not mean that a randomly new and recreated message that has not been seen before is then therefore genuine and real and not spam..... a new message and a new comment can be just as fake as a repeated comment...... but how many times does a celebrity sign his name to thousands of fans the same thing and people do not get mad at celebrities when they spam copy paste their name and some generic message to their fans..... therefore, it is not that simple

.

@stellabelle, I believe in the freedoms of speech, press, arms, religions, and it seems you are attacking people who disagree with you and that might be kind of like a double standard

.

it is not really theft or there can be loop holes and there are other problems that are created when you try to go after people you think are stealing and that job can become counterproductive

PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT!! - STOP IT - WE WILL FLAG AND REPORT YOU!

Ok I don't usually get mad, but I am mad today!
I have made a video about PLAGIARISM and stealing other people's content BUT same people who commented saying they agree are DOING IT!!!
I am a FOOD Blogger! I work my ass off to create a recipe, to write it, to film it , to edit it and to take loads of pictures!! THIS TAKES LONG TIME! All the food bloggers who work hard, do the same.
Now for OTHERS to then go and STEAL YOUR WORK and pretend its YOURS really makes me mad. ASK any real food blogger how long on average it TAKES to write a RECIPE and take ORIGINAL PICTURES!
I will be calling you out if you do this! I will show you how I caught @totalgyan stealing work. Worst part about this is that he LIED! So it made me question and THEN I spoke to @demotruk about it! There is is a website you can use to search for revere images and where they come from. So any stolen work will always appear in google.

thanks for sharing me, I really apriciate that, and hope we will not have more plagiasm here !

@clixmoney, but who decides what is plagiarism in a world of no objectivity? I believe in objectivity over subjectivity..... but some people do not believe in absolute and eternal and fundamental truth over relativism.... I believe that God decides what is right and wrong.... but some people do not believe in God..... and that means they have to decide what is right and wrong..... and that is a tough thing to determine..... Steemit might go down the path of the dark side if they are not careful like Facebook and others is doing....
