RE: Steemit Zombies are coming! A protest against the poor distribution of wealth at steemit!

A max is very sad and depressing. How is that not like a big tax or limit? A big ceiling or limit in profits, in growth, a max upvote, is something that makes me invest less time and money, hypothetically, into Steemit. I cannot fully commit to something like Steemit if it is limited. When you limit a max upvote, you limit the incentive to put more time and money into a game like Steemit that has a final level. Think of Steemit like a video game. Once you get to the max upvote ability, then what is the point of trying harder and better to do more or to invest more or whatever? How is this not similar enough to socialism, communism, etc? You can say it is kind of different but not different enough. You can say it is fair, but fair for who? Does a max make people try hard enough to compete hard enough and more and more if we are all the same in the upvote or in the max upvote available for some and yet we are not all the same and yet we are all supposed to be limited to the same upvote max even if some are smarter and better than others? I believe some people are smarter and better and deserve unlimited power and upvote weight. I believe in unlimited free markets, capitalism, competition, which means chaos sometimes but that is how innovation works.

The game doesn't end when you hit the max vote. The more good content you put out the more upvotes you get. That's the game of steemit.

So putting a max upvote on upvotes does not limit your earning potential. As you can still earn unlimited amount of upvotes. What it does is spread the power more fairly across to everyone.

It limits your ability to influence more and more and faster and faster and better and better and that kills me and makes me feel so sad and so depressed and angry and it seems that you are not sensitive to how I feel and it seems you are deny me and that you do not care about how I feel and many people feel like that and it discourages us from the innovation which can only occur through growth of your own voting power and not just the votes you get from others and it would be similar to government restricting the growth of some companies and businesses and store.....

While I respect your opinion on the matter a system where one vote is worth more then hundreds of others is a broken system. There is a happy medium that needs to be met. The current system discourages new users and no matter how you slice it .. that isn't good.

Your government analogy doesn't work for me. As I already pointed out you can still earn as many upvotes as your articles and promotional skills can attain. Your earning potential is still limitless. Reducing the influence the top members have on upvotes is a good thing not a bad thing.

Do you want Steem to be more a democracy or more a republic? A democracy is generally more focused on mob rule, AKA having everyone vote equally even if people are not equal in IQ, abilities, money, in what they do, in what they can do, in what they think, in what they want, AKA the popular vote which is something Democrats can focus on by getting illegal immigrants or blacks or Mexicans or women or alleged minorities (actually in some cases, majorities), to vote more left than right, and a lot of the same people, out of those demographics, that voted Obama then voted Trump in 2016.

A republic generally try to have representatives who vote on the behalf of others who may not be voting, and that may include the electoral college which gave Trump over 300 votes or so some do say. And Steemit can or has already maybe taken from these systems of voting, maybe. But still, what kind of voting system do we want for Steem, for Steemit? What makes it maybe tricky is that Steemit is in many countries and that means that there may be disagreements between people of different backgrounds, religions, races, traditions, ideas, habits, politics, etc, and that can lead to all kinds of stuff. In other words, it can lead to mob rule of the majority of people in the world. Do we want Steem to be more governed by the majority of people in the world?

So, do we want mob rule, AKA democracy of equal votes, like the popular vote thing found currently in the USA for Presidential Elections (which also includes the electoral college too), or what? Currently, Steem has a combination of the popular vote and the electoral college within each person as each person can gain more power and influence in that vote if they work hard to get more power in their vote.

Do we want to tell people that the majority rules?

Many people in third-world countries are for welfare more so than people in America whoa re more focused on independence instead just relying on free Bernie Sanders stuff from the government. In the future, as more people join, we may face all kinds of problems as groups of people can come in and down vote things that they do not like or something...... I like a republic over a democracy. i believe that some people should have more power and influence because of their IQ and their hard work and everything. Some people are smarter, faster, more talented. Why not reward them with more and more and more and more? For more info about IQ, talk to @Stefan.Molyneux.

A Voting Power Max is maybe problematic in the long-run as it can lead to stagnation, economically speaking, as Steem is an economy, and you can study economics and apply those things to Steem and project how things can go in the next ten years or so. Capitalism is all about unlimited power, AKA the potential to get higher and higher in the ability to do stuff. And that can include maybe voting as seen in Steem. Creating Voting Power Limits could maybe be a good idea like you are saying but it can also be very problematic as well in even greater degrees.

I think you are over reaching. I didn't say people with a better IQ or any other reason you want to apply should have equal voting power to everyone else. I said there should be a max vote, possibly a tiered system. So that one vote isn't greater then 100's of votes.

As I already said but I think is an important factor is the current system discourages new members and new sign ups. That is not good for any social network which what steemit is.
