I don't know if you're still looking at comments, but I tried to sign up.
Maybe it's me, but I don't get your signup process.

I clicked through on your hyperlink https://v2.steemconnect.com

It took my email address and brought up your "almost finished" screen.

I awaited a confirmation email, I got this same steemit link emailed to me, not a confirmation page. I tried again just now, I'm signing up again, this time, no email at all.

Then I'm taken to a site called https://busy.org/. Is that you? Have I been re-directed to a scam site? You don't explain ahead of time. This troubles me and I'm not sure if I can go on. You lack on-screen documentation.

Anyway, given that I trust you thus far, I am taken to a new window https://steemit.com/pick_account. Here, you ask for an account name. Is this the email address I entered on the prior screen? I try that. It says my account name should be shorter. Well, what do you want here? A new account?

This is so confusing. You must rethink your whole user experience when designing your screens. There isn't a single button to click for support or a phone number to call for help.
