The Secret Recipe to a Successful "Steemit" Post and the Number One Epic Mistake to Avoid!

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

Hey there, @jimscope here with an exciting new post I’m sure will help you guys succeed following all the formulas that will be given herewith...

As will know it; steem is the first ever digital token (cryptocurrency) that allows effective, accurate and transparent reward to a vast majority of people who make excellent contributions to its community.
This however, has brought an interesting phenomena on Steemit.com. since it's inception.
What topic can I write about?
You can write about a topic you understand fully well and know will help the steemit community.
For example let’s write a post about #introduceyourself
Users give evidence to show that they are the person that they claim to be via the hashtag #introduceyourself. So much so that in terms of rewards, it became the seventh most popular topic.
In the following article, I am going to point out the principles that makes for a great introduction, why it is important and the #1 epic mistake you need to avoid in order to make a good first impression.

“You never get a second chance to make a great first impression.”
― Olivia Fox Cabane

Why?

Like I would always say “the highest currency a steemian could ever have – is her reputation.” A good reputation is wrapped upon a foundation and that foundation can start with a well thought out post to introduce yourself first to the community.

Not forgetting that as human beings, we are wired to respond to storytelling. There is something extraordinary that happens whenever we share our personal story with our peers.

Trust, love, bond, care, respect and appreciation initiate when we reveal our history in an eloquent and elegant style or manner. This may be why that tag “introduceyourself” has become so famous in Steemit stardom.

The Method

1. Transparency is Highly Valued

The condition of being transparent is desired by most people who are on the bleeding edge of technology. They tend to be more protective of their identity and prefer to seek anonymity online when possible, which is perfectly fine.

Perhaps this can put you on the verge of a much harder way to build a lasting relationship or trust with someone who is anonymous. Not impossible though, but more difficult for sure.

There are a number of ways one can be transparent. You can begin, by taking notes of the following :

  • Share your real name as the steem account name with the community.
  • Make a video or have a picture of yourself holding a cardboard or sheet of paper with the current date, saying “Hello Steemit! 10/10/17” in the published post.
  • Post a link to your Steemit profile on a website or social media account which you are already known for having; such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, a blog, or photography site.

2. Display Yourself as an Asset to the Community

How do you showcase yourself as an asset to the community? You can begin first by asking yourself; why are you here? The success of every steemian is tailored to the value that each member brings to the network. When people discover or hear that you have special skills, talents or connections that will enhance the value of steemit, they will proudly accept you and be excited by the fact that you've made up your mind to join "the family".

You can also do well to ask yourself "What do I have to offer?". This diamond question will put you in the right pattern of mind to write your #introduceyourself post. The allure of money making can easily attract those who are here to get rather than to give. Fortunately, this mindset tends to jump out of the box.

If you are into art show us some of your master piece. If you travel a lot, tell us about the latest site seen and your excitement via sharing your knowledge and experience with the community. You get the picture, right!

3. Notice Me Attitude

Do you have a notice me attitude? Shake and bake if you do. Don’t forget, impression is the key to a lasting relationship. Think when you meet someone for the very first time, do you want them to perceive you as an upper or a downer? What do you think? Of course you would prefer prosperity, abundance, love, optimism, excitement, interest, gratitude and a fun buddy attributes a strong first impression. If the first thing you talk about is how messed up and shitty your life is... then you are not off to a good start.

We’re all aware that life is sometimes ups and downs and it’s true you may have went through terrible events but you've somehow found power within yourself to welcome sunny days. This kind of story is what people beckon on and be truly inspired. Please share if you have such a story to tell.

4. Be Genuine and Trustworthy

It’s best that you scrutinize yourself and see if you are up for it. This is 21st century, what do you think? People have all kinds of genius detector and Steemians on the other hand are incredibly smart to spot a fraudster. They’ll know if you lie, and you’ll be marked for that. Perhaps if you try pulling the strings again, they'll black list you and making sure you lose your reputation via Flagging, reporting and sharing your dark schemes in the comment section provided within the post. You don’t want that to happen to you – do you? Your reputation and everything will fade off right before your eyes. If you’re genuine and trustworthy, people will respect and appreciate you more on Steemit.

5. Be Unique and Make Your Post Stand Out

Your niche should be about all what you are good at. Apply the tips that I've shared in "The Truth About Ridiculously High Steemit Payout". Make the title and thumbnail that appear in the feed stand out... and catching enough for everyone to click. Don’t forget, you’re adding 99% meaning and value to the community.

Don't Be That Guy

The guy who thinks there is always a back DOOR to everything meanwhile all there is, is the front DOOR. Be truthful to yourself and the people in the community.
