Alas, I am a poor Steem fish,
Desires and dreams to be Steem rich.
Please sir can you spare some Steem,
Enable me to hope and dream.

I'm sitting here, browsing the site,
But can I make some Steem tonight?
Enough to buy some soup and bread,
A simple pillow to lay my head.

I make some posts and look away,
Maybe today is not my day.
Quality content I tried to post,
But my account is like a ghost.

I need more followers, reputation,
Broadcast posts across the nation.
Only then will I be seen,
And only then will I get steem.

Try some content here and there,
Out of the comfort zone I dare.
Will my poems bring me success?
Or will they fade like all the rest?

Alas, I am a poor Steem fish,
Desires and hopes to be Steem rich.

To see my rise from fish to whale.
