I never spent much on re-steem bots. Having a list of them is valuable, however.
The way to get people interested in your content is by building relationships, and writing thoughtful content about what most people here are interested in. you may have guessed by now, the unifying topic is Steem.
Creating well researched thoughtful content about steem is a good way to expand your audience. And since your memo advertisement was for an informative post, and not some bs service that wants my money, I didn't mind checking it out.
However, if you want the attention of more prominent members of the community, you might want to try a larger memo "tip" \ get to know them in their comments and chat hang-outs.

no! if you really want the attention of someone who is sooooper busy and actually has some influence around here (orcas or whales) I would recommend a full sbd... but it must be something significant to want to spam them in the first place... very rare that memo spam is a useful form of communication. However, an sbd I think will be enough to get most anyone's appreciation that you cared enough to send them more than dust for their attention.

I absolutely agree. The truth is that I don't really bother contacting people with big steem power. My impression is that getting their attention is always temporary and is waste of time :)
