Where is the true value in Steemit?
We all know about the value we get with the blockchain foundation that we have on Steemit. Is that where the Steemit value can be found?
When I talk about value i am not only talking monetary value, im talking about any value that you can take from the site.
A very good example of where i find value in Steemit is the ability for posts created on Steemit to index on Google FAST. In fact i have created posts then Googled the permalink and BOOM! Google finds the page.
This is very valuable to me as it puts my content out to the masses incredibly quickly. There is also a knock on effect for my own sites InfoBunny and HowTo8App because when I publish on those blogs and then create cut-downs or shares on Steemit then that really really speeds up the indexing process on those site. My record for a post on my Infobunny site getting indexed in just 9 mins. And it may even be faster than that because i didn't check right away as i was in the middle of a social sharing session to help indexing.

Agree with @daydreams4rock - intelligent community with less trolls than on other platforms - i see this not as a platform but as an ecosystem around a crypto currency with so many great 3rd party apps on the blockchain, one can find news every day, great content, exciting model.
The voting system is also a powerful tool for all community members to fight spammers with down voting them - this is a topic that is more and more important the more users join and when the heavy marketing is starting the influx can be controlled by us as the community. That is something I really see as a major value of steemit

The value for me is in finding and intelligent community without the trolls dragging everyone down - if only they could clean up other sites with rewards for best content
agreed, engagement is very good on Steemit
I already fell in love with the steemit-layout. compared with reddit or facebook pages, i actually enjoy reading. this fact combined with awesome content gives steemit so much value.

When you search, do you use google proper or https://steemit.com/static/search.html ?
I always use the steem search, first to see if the topic is covered here first :-)
