Quitting Steemit because some people make more money than you

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Is like saying, "Hey instead of making some money for my posts I would rather not make any". That is what you are saying because Steemit is the only social media that pays you anything. I do not count places where you can only make a half a cent in micro-tips. 5,000 Bitcoin in 2009 could be purchased for under 30 bucks. That is just over half a cent. If Steemit dumps to that price I will be more than happy to spend some money investing in this platform. Regardless of the "Oligarch" accounts. The top 1% of Americans own more wealth than the bottom 50%. Steemits wealth distribution is currently even worse with the top 1% of Steemians owning about 80% of all SteemPower. This number is however... dropping. As more people buy Steem or earn it blogging that 80% will shrink. Some whales will get weak hands and dump at the bottom. Others will dump at the top. Some will hold forever and ever. While American stratification is only increasing with the 1% gaining an ever bigger slice of the pie. I can confidently say that the top 1% of Steemians will never own a larger slice of the pie than they do today. As We grow that pie there will be a shift where the majority of buying and selling starts to come from minnows instead of whales. It does not mean whales will go broke and minnows get rich. It does mean we have a viable economic system that can be sustainable in the future. The price of Steem will rise and fall but Steemit as a whole only gets better from here.

No one just quits steemit they write long drawn out posts about why they are quitting steemit first lulz.

Yes, the long dramatic quitting posts.
As we say in the south, "here's your hat what's your hurry".

I want to see you putting your words in your pocket and purchasing right now 10.000 Steemit. Same goes for every single person that clicked like on this post. Let's see how much your words follow your actions. Let's see if you trust the network.

It is common in the crypto world to have speculation. No surprise there. Just because Bitcoin did what it did and facebook did what it did it doesn't mean Steemit will do necessarily the same. It can end up like Dogecoin and hi5 respectively. Same way you can shill upwords much like the same you can shill do the dead bottom. Actually the second one is about x100 times more likely in the real business world (if you even attempted to make a business).

If you want to see why people quit Steemit beyond some superficial shill analysis check this one out

If your slice of the pie stays the same or grows at a rate slower than the pie as a whole. Your % of the pie is dropping.
