Why Was My 50% Steem Dollars Not Paid?

On every post, you can make the choice to only power up or to take a 50-50 reward. My reward got dumped into steem and steem power. I had to sell steem to get steem dollars. Why? In the past we got paid steem dollars for posts. I feel steem dollars are much better for users 'cuz they keep their value.
How about you? Are you receiving steem dollars for your posts, or just steem and steem power? Do you know why this changed?

i think it has something to do with the price being so low, i saw another person on here saying that if the price goes too low (around .13 like it is now) then they will stop giving out SBD and resort to what they are doing now? not sure on the details.. if you find out let me know too lol but it doesn't bother me for too much right now because if you need $ still u can trade liquid STEEM instead of sbd?
Yes, no more steem dollars. Everything is betweem Steem and Steem Power. I was confused too at first.

Couldn't find any info. I suppose they try to modify it to avoid the fall in price of stuff like this.
