I agree. People tend to start to believe that Steemit owes them something when they get a good payout for a thoughtful article, and then their next doesn't do as well. The community owes nothing, and you owe nothing to the community.

Unless you think that you do. If the reason's you're posting is treating it like a job; then you're doing it wrong. :) I joined Steemit as a creative outlet for my writing, photography, and ramblings that would otherwise swim about in my mind.

It is incredibly therapeutic to share content with others and make it, most importantly, for yourself.

Sort:  

Yeah, it can be a job but there are no guarantees, and as you said, no one owes you anything. You want to succeed, you have to keep working.
