DDOS Attacks Are A Good Sign

Sir Winston Churchill Said It Best

Allow Me To Explain

Consider This....

  • Someone is VERY threatened by STEEMIT
  • Someone is spending a lot of their own money trying to disrupt STEEMIT
  • Someone is trying to discourage the users of STEEMIT

STEEMIT Has Value

  • The value of STEEMIT is NOT in the currency.
  • The value of STEEMIT is in the people who make up the community.
  • Those who own competing social media platforms know their days are numbered.

Just like Bitcoin and Blockchain tech will revolutionize our world...

  • The STEEMIT genie is out of the bottle.
  • STEEMIT will not go away.

Now Go Forth Fellow Steemians........And Change The World.......

  • And be encouraged that you are doing good work.

Happy Friday Everybody

Peace, HM

Peace and a happy Friday!

Interesting viewpoint to say the least. LOL

I do not know enough about DDOS attacks to be able to comment of it being an enemy. Are they algorithm based? How do they work?

I guess I could search google but it is Friday and I'm too lazy right now.

Check out for loic it a ddos tool. It's also free to download. It doesn't cost anything for a cracker to do ddos attack, but it might be for a company willing to pay for it.

I do know they cost money to be able to throw that much computing power behind an attack.

What a great point of view never thought about it on that way.

Thanks man. DDOS attacks are annoying AF (Ironically I had to write this post twice) But its not all doom and gloom.

Looking at the glass half full. I wish we would get news from StInc letting us know what is happening and what they are doing to fix it. After all we are supposed to be investors.

True that. But I am confident they are on top of it.

I've long loved that churchill quote and your application of it to the attention steemit has been subjected to is I think quite accurate. An interesting and thought provoking post @harleymechanix!

It IS a great quote! Thanks for the comment and taking the time to read my post.

A pleasure. If only I had the time to read more of the content on steemit thoroughly!

There are so many great content creators that I enjoy following but I have to go search them out to see what they post. I know Steemit is still in beta blah blah but would it kill them to make a favorites button?

A week or 2 ago when Julian Asange tweeted about a decentralized platform I remember steemit went down not long after someone replied to that tweet. Wouldn't be surprised if that is also connected. But I think you're on a better track, all the big boys are likely not thrilled about Steemit...

Theres NO WAY steemit is not on Zuckerburgs radar if not actively trying to kill it in its infancy. Probably google too.

Oh I agree 100% I've been saying for a few months now, if FB, AMZ, ABC, etc aren't developing their own blockchain/crypto uses and schemes I will be shocked...

Yeah, everytime someone gets mad at a wow expansion or raid it happens without fail that it gets hit with a DDOS attack. It's just part of becoming more popular and dealing with unhappy people.

Chalk it up the the cost of Steemit business.
Thanks for the comment.
