SteemFest2, Casting, Teaser Trailer, Elevator Pitch

This past week was chock full of equal portions of hard work and measurable progress. We were absolutely thrilled by @roelandp’s announcement that our HardFork Film Series teaser trailer debuting at SteemFest 2 in Lisbon! The whole team is very excited to show this community comprehensive glimpse into this world we’re creating and what can happen when the entire Steemit community lends a hand.

In related news, the film’s trailer script was just finalized yesterday and will be sent off to the Production Assistant for casting. This was a group effort between @dougkarr, @ericvancewalton, @bakerchristopher, @andrarchy, and @the-alien. We expect to shoot within the next few weeks and will be editing the footage in the weeks leading up to SteemFest in early November. This teaser trailer will be debuted on Steemit before it’s seen anywhere else and will also serve the role of introducing the film to potential investors.

The vision of the series is now crystal clear. We’ve crafted an entire dystopian world.

Logline or "Elevator Pitch"

This week, the team has also crafted the film series' logline. What is a logline? It's a very short summary of your series that is meant to convey your premise and provide an emotional hook to the reader that makes them hungry for more. It's much more difficult to do effectively than it seems.

HardFork - The First Narrative Blockchain Series

New York City, 2029. Draconian rules and corruption have stripped away any sense of humanity. The Overwatcher's one world currency, the Liberty Dollar, is nearly worthless. Vangelis Misham, works as a crypto tax hacker for the main culprit, the Central Finance System. The CFS has worked systematically for years to amass unprecedented global power and, subvert blockchain-based technological progress under the guise of protecting the population and perpetuate the status quo. The CFS' Blank Canvas Initiative paints the physical world with beautiful augmented reality overlays to mask the oppressive tentacles of their totalitarian regime. But when a decentralized faction of outlaw cryptographers, The12, identify Vangelis as experiencing a neural evolution--a brain partitioning allowing him to meld his consciousness with the Overwatcher's firewalled blockchain--he's drawn into their ranks as an agent of chaos to take back the chain and help free the enslaved masses.
