Steemit How To: Not only SURVIVE But THRIVE on Your First Day!
Choose your profile picture and write a few words about yourself. This will be the first thing that people see when they come over to your profile to decide if they want to follow you so let us know who you are.
You can make a decent amount of money on your intro post as a nice little welcome into the Steemit world.
A successful IntroduceYourself post should have the following ingredients:
💜 Be yourself: There is only one you! Tell us why you are here, what you do and what makes you happy!
💛 Add Pictures: Links to insert pictures into your post can be generated by creating an account somwhere like: https://imgsafe.org
To centre your image put < center > at the beginning of the image link and < / center > at the end of the link... but don't leave any spaces
💚 Format Your Text: Putting two * either side of a word makes it ** bold ** like this when you take the spaces away and one * either side makes it * italic * like this.
💙 Tags: Make sure you put IntroduceYourself as the main tag for your into post. Also tagging your posts Steemit, Steem and Life will ensure a good amount of people see it to come say "Hi!" to you. Posts with these tags have the highest payouts!
SteemitChat is a great way to meet other people on Steemit that fit into similar niches to you. Whether it be crypto, travel, food, etc. You can share your posts with them so that they can go to upvote and comment on your posts, and you can do the same for them.
One You have registered for an account on SteemitChat... The first chatroom I recommend going into would be the IntroduceYourself chat. Say hello to people in there and post the link to your intro. Click on other people's links and go read their intros. Make sure you upvote and leave a comment to welcome them to Steemit and tell them what you liked about their intro/what you have in common.

No but seriously, Steemit is like any other social media platform. We are here to interact and connect with one another. Find people who have similar interests to yourself by going to Feed and then searching through the Tags and Topics
Also, if you go into Hot and Trending you will find some of the more influential Steemians, who hold a lot of SteemPower and Voting Power. Follow some of these Steemians who have similar interests to yourself, because if they notice you and upvote your posts and comments, it will increase the rewards you get back from Steemit.
Steemit is a social network, and GIRL! 💁 is it time to be social! 💅 Don't join Steemit on a day you are supposed to be out there living life with your job, partner or real world friends. Join Steemit on a day where you can sit in bed, search through Steemit finding like minded people, commenting on their posts and engaging with their content.
Writing posts are not the only wake to make some $$ back on Steemit. Not only will commenting give you the chance to meet new people, find out new information and have some nice conversations on the platform, but it is also an opportunity for you to earn some extra rewards.
To show your appreciation make sure that you upvote (like) people's posts, resteem (share) them, and follow the blogger that you like so you can be the first to comment on their newer posts.

Well, I ran into this site a while back but it didn't seem like it was hot at the time. But that changed recently and now its booming and highly interactive if you ask me. So when I realized what it was really about it kind of fit my mold so I was like, HELL YEAH! And here I am apart of what I consider to be the hottest thing on the internet today. As many other newbies, I kinda figured out all of this by myself shortly after joining Steemit, but it would have been very helpful to have an article like this summing everything up to read before starting. Nice article, upvoted :)
