How to help Newbies #1 Get one FREE Upvote everyday
Hi Steemians
I see many new Steemians asking for upvotes which is not the right thing to do here, but there are many other options. Some of them are old and the Newbies are not aware of them.
So I will introduce some nice projects supporting Newbies.

Minnow Support Project
It is a community of Steemians who are helping each other to grow. So if you have valuable posts and want more people to see them you can promote them for free in the Post Promotion Channel. You can also upvote one of your posts everyday. Means 1 post in 24 hours. You will get 1 Free upvote :)
So all you need to do is register yourself. So follow the link below:

Go to the Registration Channel and enter the following:
$register your SteemIt username (without the @)
Soon after that you will get a message from the bots requesting you to send the 0.001 Steem and a Memo to include when you do.
Do it than come back to the Registration Channel and type in the same command. It must work!
You can join the General Channel to chat with other Steemians and the Upvote Channel with the command $upvote + Your post link.
Once you become more familiar with Discord, you can make new friends and join different channels and communities. Feel free to ask questions and other Steemians will guide you and help you there.

It depends on your interests. There some channels for photography or other different communities. If you didnt find them let me know and I will send you some links tomorrow :)

Asking for peole to check out their post is one thing. Kinda stinks in someone else’s comment section when they add nothing to the original posters post. But I kinda get it.
It’s the brazen “help me” “upvote me” vote and follow please” ones that are lazy and not helpful to the community. You can’t ask fir something without giving nothing yourself.
It’s really Steemit’s panhandlers.
Thanks for trying to help the problem though. Not sure what the long term solution is. I’ve only been here for a short time. And I even see it getting worse. : )
I am sure that some of them will use the service and still ask for upvotes in comments lol I guess it is a habit :)

I tried to register but the info is I'm rated limited
It takes sometimes time to register, so you have to try again and again or ask the Moderator in the General chat and they will help you :)
