The thing I love about Steemit is the fact that it is a brand new blogging platform. That not only makes it ideal for Bloggers, but also makes it ideal to socialise across the Internet, something which social media was built for, but lost due to the sheer amount of people using it.
Right now, it is the perfect place to sit and discover new people while share yourself with the world. And therein lies the key to it.
Steemit is thus far, true to its nature of being a social media platform once you remove all the bid bots and self-votes. With Steemit, you can reach out to a lot of people with a part of yourself. Interact with them. Make new friends. Talk about stuff. The fact that Steemit is a blog based platform only helps further this. You can actually get to subjectively know a person because of this. That's what Steemit is all about. A million different stories from a million different people time via the means of the word.
So in order to be successful in Steemit, you need to engage with people. Make meaningful comments which have value. Help others or with what you have. Share your subjective interpretation and instances, and use that as a means to share what you truly are. Resteem something if you think it is worth sharing with however many followers you have. It does not matter whether it is trending, new, hot, or promoted. What matters is whether you like it or not, and that is what determines who you are. Finally, keep unfiltered, unchanged pieces of your soul through your keyboard so that others can bask in its essence through their screens.
Steemit is a beautiful place which is all about sharing and caring. Narcissism and superficial goals will not go far on this platform. Let it remain so, and make it what social media is all about through your own actions and interactions. We humans are a pack animal and the goal everywhere remains the same. You scratch my back, I scratch yours. And like in everything, Consistency is the key.
