Who Needs eBay? We Have @steembay!
Have you heard of @steembay yet?
@steembay is the Steemit auction site that started a couple of weeks ago. It is completely FREE to use. Last week I created my first auction on @steembay where I put a $25 Amazon Gift Code up for auction. Yesterday the auction ended and in less than 24 hours I was paid in SBD, sent the Gift Code privately utilizing Steemit.chat and received confirmation from @smartcoins, the Winner, that the code was received and worked.
I even got a 5 star rating from @smartcoins for the auction. Unfortunately, @steembay does not have a formal rating or feedback system yet, but since @smartcoins' feedback was posted on the blockchain, it will be around forever. So I'm counting it. That's right Steemians, I am a 5 star rated seller on @steembay! Possibly the first one.
Since @steembay is very new, there are not too many auctions yet. They have started a daily report of current and recently ended auctions. You can see today's daily auction report for an interesting mix of silver coins, watches and video games, plus a whole lot more up for auction. If you are interested in buying or selling on @steembay there is a quick tutorial which gives step by step instruction on how to sell or bid on items.
Did I mention, @steembay is completely FREE?

Hehe, I'm trying to get this guy I know to make a Steemit themed Cigar Box Guitar. Unfortunately he's a little busy right now, so it may be a little while before that auction.
That "Guy" you "know" would do a fantastic job. I think a steem-themed CBG would be at hit!!
Once he finishes finals I'm hoping he will have some time to work on this project. Unfortunately he always seems to have one too many plates in the air at any given time.

There is still a lot of work, we are aware of that. For the moment we concentrate on performance (there are some issues with comments that are put quite late) AND more importantly on a multi language version, so that you can sell in YOUR language. I will post an update soon!

we steemians are well appreciate the steembay auction as well as buy and sell in sbd.
Being able to use SBD for transactions for goods and services outside of Steemit increases the value of SBD.
