What's A Minnow To Do? Final Round

in #steemit7 years ago

Make no minstake, it is hard to get started on Steemit. Minnows spend hours working on their first posts, only to get one or two upvotes. It's discouraging.

What's A Minnow To Do?

Until recently, there was not much a Minnow could do. They could try to stick with it and keep working hard, hoping to get discovered by a whale. Some succeeded, most got discouraged and left.

But now, things have changed. Just over 100 days ago, a new community was founded by @scrooger called @qurator.

The purpose of @qurator is to help spread recognition and rewards to members. Joining @qurator is easy, just contact one of the administrators on Discord for an account review, then with a low, one time registration fee of only 2 Steem. Imagine having over 500 fellow Qurites viewing your posts!

What could be better than that?

I'm glad you asked, because @qurator is also an automated upvote bot that will give your post that initial boost to help get it noticed. There is also a voting trail that gives your post even more upvotes from some of the bigger Qurites.

But wait! There's so much more!

As a memeber of @qurator, you also get exclusive access to @qustodian, the private pay4vote bot.

Did I mention the Daily Qurator?

Well every day they publish the Daily Qurator featuring 5 posts from Qurites to help give them exposure. Not only that, but twice a week there are special competitions, Tasty Tuesday and Photo Friday. So if you are in to posting photography or food, you might be featured in one of these publications as well. They are competitions with rewards, but since everyone featured gets additional exposure and rewards, even if you lose, you've already won!

Let's see, what else...

There's so much that @qurator offers, it's hard to remember it all. I've covered the upvote bots, over 500 members, the upvote Trail, the Daily Qurator, the two weekly competitions...oh yes, they have their own Discord Channel and a forum on ChainBB.com to help ease communications between members.

I know, I know, "This is all great", you're thinking, "but I'm just a little Minnow and don't have the 2 Steem to spare". Well you're in luck, because in the Spirit of the Season, @brimax, a really terrific Qurite, has donated some Steem to cover the registration fee for Minnows who have less that 200 Steem Power. Everyone should definitely stop by his blog and give him an upvote or two to say thanks!

This is the third round of covering Minnow registration fees. In Round 1, @gillianpearce and @samve had their registration fees covered. In Round 2, @cryptorg, @aimeeonalimb, @brisby, @camillius, @samve and @daniel555 all took advantage of @brimax's generous offer and joined @qurator for free.

But this offer won't last forever!

For the next day or two, any Minnow with less than 200 Steem Power can still join for free. So hurry and apply before it's too late!

This is an awesome opportunity to grow here on steemit. There are a lot of people working tirelessly in the background to make this happen for YOU!
Take advantage of this offer to grow here on steemit, you have nothing to lose and there are an awful lot of qurites here ready to help share what you have to say.

As one of the "behind the scenes people' you mention... I was working diligently on steemit doing my thing. You know writing, blogging and commenting... but then when I joined qurator things really started happening. SO if any new steemian or red fish EVER has the question... "what can qurator do for me?" Just send them my way!

Just to add my two cents worth, you've been doing a fantastic job writing for The Daily Qurator @goldendawne. I can't say it enough, we Qurites owe you, @scrooger and all who help run @qurator a big Thank You for all the work you do.

Thank you very much! I really enjoy writing the newsletter and reading all the posts from the members!

So excited to try to join. I had no idea all this was going on behind the scenes.

I sure will, thanks.

I couldn't have said it better myself! And thank you for sponsoring so many Minnows into @qurator!

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help

I heard you sponsored my joining @qurator?
That's awesome man! Thanks a lot!
I've been considering joining @qurator for a while now. :)

Welcome aboard! I'm glad we were able to help you get started with @qurator.

Interesting post! :D I'm new here and sometimes it's a bit discouraged to see the feedback we have on the posts. But we must insist and improve day by day and know all the tools that can help us.

I urge you to apply for membership in @qurator, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Thank you for the advice, @gregory-f! :D I will follow you!

Thanks @brimax and Gregory for this great job you guys are doing to help minnows. Can you Pls explain better to me about @qustodian.

Happy to, @qustodian is a pay for vote bot. To use him, go to your wallet and send him some SBD with the link to your post in the memo field. He will then upvote your post worth a value of 2.5 to 3.0 times the amount of SBD you send him.

There are limits based on how much you use him and his power level. But if you send too much, any unused SBD are sent back to you.

Thanks so much for the well detailed explanation. Am happy to be part of this wonderful and successful group @qurator

Hi @gregory-f!
It's also a great initiative to support minnow.

Is there any way we can know when to bid on @qustodian and how much we should bid?

This post by @qustodian on votebank weight calculations may help. https://steemit.com/qurator/@qustodian/i-had-an-hour But as a general rule, the more you use @qustodian, the less he is able to accept for a bid. Try not to use him more than once a day, once every two days would be even better.

already using it on 3 accounts :) biggest problem is to keep an eye on the clock when to post to make sure you get the upvote, and otherwise you just have to edit and save changes the post so the bot will pick it up after all :) it would be nice if the bot was smart enough to look at what the user posted the past 24hr then decide what post has the lowest value and upvote that one :)

That's an interesting suggestion. You should submit that to @scrooger or one of the other @qurator administrators on Discord.

I'd like to be considered - thanks!

You can contact one of the administrators on Discord and request to be considered. The administrators are @scrooger | @boontjie | @goldendawne | @ewkaw | @ackhoo | @em3 | @brumest and the Qurators Discord channel is https://discord.gg/pJtWp57. If you have any problems getting ahold of them, let me know and I'll try to help.

Great post! I'm new here. This information will help me for sure. Thank you :)

Welcome to Steemit! I hope you don't waste too much time and get your application in to @qurator quickly.

everything sounds nice - i love this alternative to Curie idea, but to pay for upvotes ....
i don't like this method of creating fake popularity for something that maybe not worth it...

It is true that pay4vote bots have been abused and therefore earned a bad reputation, however @qustodian is relatively small and is much harder to abuse since it has built in limiting mechanisms. But most importantly, it can only be used by Qurites who have passed a quality posting review and are continuously monitored by the Qpolice.

lets get help to the community of people and make it for our platform.

t is about finding a path to follow
