Reposting Your Content On STEEMIT and how it affects your original

in #steemit8 years ago

A lot of people who know very little about SEO worry about reposting or syndicating content on other sites like steemit. But you don't need to worry. Most of the time Google will know which post is the original. To help Google know which is the original you can add a link in your repost to your original. You can also add this meta tag to the repost and it will not show up in search engines ensuring your original will rank higher.

 <head>

<meta name="robots" content="noindex">

</head>

So go ahead, get your content out there to the masses. How else are you going to get people to your corner of the internet?

Interesting and useful information, Thank You.

It's a good idea to post a link to your steemit post on your original page and/or verify your identity before reposting.

In what way should I verify my identity?

Number of ways. Link to steemit from the page with the content your reposting. mention the post on twitter/facebook account linked to the article.

I'm currently trying to get some information about reposting original content (my own content I mean) to steemit and the effect on my website.

the meta name="robots" content="noindex" in the head balise will not work for sure ! The head will be inside the body that is inside the HTML that already contain a head from steemit

I will make a test soon and let's see if we can find an answer.
