RE: What Are My Top 5 Most Relevant Witnesses On Steemit?

in #steemit7 years ago

Yes @themanwithnoname. I started out wanting to see how well I could do without investing but then saw people who joined at the same time streaking "ahead" because they'd invested which made me have a bit of a rethink.

i would like to invest int cryptocurrency anyway so it makes sense to start with Steem. But, as I said, I'm waiting for the price to come back down which, of course, might never happen. 😁

That makes sense. It's hard to see someone who started at the same time making a lot more progress than you. Although, if they're not self-voting and their payouts are low, it might not be benefiting them much. Although it is a help to the platform. In the long-term it can be worth it though.

Yeah, it makes sense to start with what you know. If you're already Steeming then you have inside insight on how things might go. The price will come down. I don't know if it will be under $1, but there will be more opportunities.

There are two people in particular @themanwithnoname. They are both self upvoting early at 100% or as close to as they can.

The first one bought a delegation and using bots but, although he streaked ahead when he got his delegation originally and started using the bots, we seems to be fairly equal again now and he's still using the bots.

The second one has built some savvy relationships who give him automatic upvotes and he has invested enough to make himself a dolphin.

His strategy has put him well "ahead". 😁

Wow, that's incredible to become a dolphin so quickly. I started at the end of December (sometime around the same time as you) and I'm closing in on becoming a minnow. It's crazy that you have to put this much work in just to become the smallest fish. Maybe they should have "algae" be a level. Then when you get to red fish, you feel like you've really gotten somewhere.

Your competition must be doing something right to be at dolphin already. That's a lot of SP. Good for him though. Hopefully he spreads some of that around too. :)

Hmmm. No comment about the last bit @themanwithnoname. 😂

I recently made it to minnow (excluding Asher's delegations) but I think I bought about 100SP. I really must go back and check that out. It would be good to know the exact figures.

The "competition" invested about £10K which is not an insignificant amount so he's really bought into Steem. That's a lot to risk so hats off to him from that aspect! 😊

Ahh, probably wise, if I'm picking up on things correctly. 100 SP isn't a small investment. That's at least a few hundred dollars (or pounds) on the line. Wow, your competition came loaded for bear! No wonder they're making so much progress.
