Warning - Imminent Minnow Swarm Incoming

A massive influx of new users is most likely going to happen within the next few weeks due to the price increase. It is known that when a coin that undergoes a pump it also gains some massive attention in the crypto world. This newly acquired attention will almost guarantee a whole new group of people looking to see what the pump is about! 

I'm guilty of it, the big pump in July is what made me come and join the community. I have stuck through the monthly decline but those days are over, and now we are here once again with a massive price Pump! Currently up over 100% in 24hrs.

I feel sorry for the users who gave up and quit blogging because they will also probably return, but missed out on the great last couple months of re-distribution that was occurring while also gaining a name and following. 

Face it, the last couple months was full of good times because we were the users in-it for the long haul. Representing a group of individuals that supported Steemit even when prices were un-bearably low. Personally I enjoyed the small community we have going on, the massive noise of august has disappeared and the curation groups have helped nearly every user on the site. 

But we should be prepared to experience the Posting volume also increase significantly. I assume massive increases in all activity to correlate with this massive price increase. Which could potentially destroy the "small town" feel, but will ultimately lead to more diversified interests and a larger audience for all creators. More users will be the best thing Steemit could ask for, but I can't help feel that I will miss the time when the price and spirits were low and everyone basically knew everyone along with the drama that occured.

PLAN ACCORDINGLY

This time, I'm prepared for it! I have a decent reputation and a great group of followers that support me! I have increased my Steem power 50%+   in the past 4weeks due to the cheap prices and large steem payouts on postings. I couldn't be happier that I was here in the beginning and now I can hopefully consider myself an early adopter to the site!

This is basically a 2nd chance for steemit

New users will flood in, and hopefully we can retain more this time compared to what happened the first time around. I completely believe Steemit will accomplish a better user retention rate going forward

Hands down. I know steemit today is more geared toward content and helping new users getting recognized then it has ever been in the past. Steemit has changed in many aspects since I got here only a few short 4months ago.

I'm here for the long run, and with the updates and overhaul of the inflation rate, I feel better than ever about the potential future of Steemit.
