Steemit News: Facebook tried to take over Steemit with an 1.6 billion offer! (Just fiction)
Note: This news is only a joke, I read it at a satire site...! ^^
Yesterday I read an german article about an offer by Mark Zuckerberg to @dan (Dan Larimer) and @ned (Ned Scott) to take over Steemit and I have to share this with you!
Have you already heard this news about Steemit?

Facebook offered Steemit 1.6 billion dollar for all patents of the Steemit technology, the company Steemit Inc. and a rebuy of the STEEM tokens. Fortunately Dan and Ned declined the offer and Dan said that there are already bigger offers by Alipay from China and Line Inc. from Corea. (But Im sure Steemit will not be sold)
Steemit is only four months old in the moment and has already a worlwide traffic-rank of 9,628 at Alexa. (Stats from 17.10.2016) Facebook is the number 3 worldwide.
Steemit already generated more users in the first three months than Facebook in the first month´s and the user engagement per user is already higher than at facebook! (This is a really important number to estimate the value of social media platforms)
If we take a look on the sale price of WhatsApp, which was 19 billion dollar, or at the declined offer to the Snapchat owner, which was 22 billion dollar, the offer by Facebook to take over Steemit was very low. Either way it is better not to sell Steemit, because of the big possibilities for the future.

But this satire showed me one thing the price of Steem is mainly in our heads... Many people really got excited, so we need 2-3 positive events or announcements and Steem price will recover

I don't have an FB account, nor twitter. They're utter biased crap.
Steemit is the future and the better choice. FB is just pissed that they got competition that people prefer over their regressive platforms.

The worth of this brand will be much, much higher in the following months and even today. But more important is that they kept it away from Zuckerberg's hands... ;-)
