The best thing that could happen to STEEM would be a 1-3 year bear market IMHO. I would be content if the price stayed the same ($.15) for a year+. That would trigger whale optimization and organization. This discombobulated group of whales we have right now needs work.
Seeing Charlie (and others) make so much STEEM for shit posts is one of the reasons why I don't seriously invest in STEEM. It sometimes feels like a high-school popularity contest to me.

Shake out the weak hands that put zero time into improving Steemit. Whales should be the most active in the community (voting, commenting, providing services for Steem/SBD, etc.). All whales should be a servant king. Not like this:
