I've had it with D-Tube. After uploading several videos, some of which are now disappearing, I have not been able to post a new video for months - ERROR: AN UNKNOWN ERROR OCCURRED.

I have tried different browsers, video file types, sizes, times of day, phases of the Moon, and nothing works.

I am giving up, since there seems to be exactly ZERO solutions anywhere in the community. I will continue using YouTube, BitTube and BitChute, since they work every time, and just post links on Steemit.

Good luck to everyone using this nightmare.

This is terrible.

If this keeps up for me too (it was working a few weeks ago), I will just go back to Minds.com

the very same fo rme. Honestly, I a, very tired of D.tube it has not worked for me ever (does not upload a single video at all ..)

@enzogianvittoria - ok, so some GOOD news...

someone mentioned what may be the problem & it was.

What browser are you using & what add-ons/extensions do you have on it?

It turned out to be the Grammarly add-on on Chrome that was causing my issues (I think) because I went to another Chrome person (I have about 6) that didn't have Grammarly on it & it FINALLY worked. I've been able to upload videos now since yesterday.

Also, if you use Awesome Screenshot, which I highly recommend for all sorts of things, & you can take a SS of what you see, that may give some of us a clue too.

Lastly, are you on Discord?

I'm having the same problem. The video plays in the browser while it's acting like it's uploading and then I never get a green check mark next to "upload a video." When I click submit it says I have to upload a video.

This is exactly the behavior I get. I get a green check on the Snap, but the video part keeps spinning and never seems to finish uploading, so I never the option to submit to the Blockchain. If I try to click on Submit, it says to first upload a video, even though it's been uploading for over 30 minutes (a 3 min clip).

@music8mycomputer - I'm having the same problem, no green checkmark next to "submit"

Did you figure out the problem?

Having it too...

I've had no problems uploading videos now, at first l had a problem. I was using Opera Browser with VPN on and was able to upload videos, but not publish them. When I turned off the VPN. I was able to upload videosand pulish them. So people who are using browsers with VPN. Should turn the VPN off to upload videos to D.Tube or use a different browser for uploading D.Tube videos. Only Problem I have now is, I can't edit the video description once a video has uploaded or delete a video, if I wanted to replace it with video with a proper description.

I have the same problem, I get an "Aw, Snap!" notification on chrome saying the webpage crashed.

Having the same problem! I got as far as "submit" but when I try and click that, nothing happens.

I had the same problem (the submit button doesn't work). It worked with a different browser, but i don't know why...(it worked with Edge). Good luck

I have the same problem. It is stuck at "uploading to blockchain

I had several bugs especially in Dtube just recently and got them sorted out with a new browser. Read my little article here:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@triviumfilm/steemit-and-dtube-bug-free

I am currently dealing with this! Has anyone figured out how to solve this? My video wont even upload to the platform - it keeps telling me to upload a video when I already did...

Me too. It keeps saying failed. I upload .mp4 files, the same that I upload to youtube. They are created with Premier Pro using the proper H.264 codec for Youtube with 1080p and 8mps bitrate. This is all standard stuff for youtube and many other platforms.
On DTube it seems to open with the upload option and starts to auto play in browser while uploading (I think that's normal) and then after a few seconds it fails and the browser tab crashes and asks to reload.

So....? anyone have an answer to this?

I have the same problem. I have used Brave and Vivaldi browsers. Vivaldi just will not load the video, and Brave just will not allow me to submit once everything is completed. I will try another browser.
