Thank you for this post. To be honest, I have noooo idea what are witnesses. My friend just told me to vote so abd so. When I first join steemit, she told me to just post random articles five tines a day. That sounds more like a 'job' that will get me frustrated soon. Coincidentally I stumbled upom the artstorm contest which led me to stumble on your blog that has a writibg prompt and it made me want to post stuffs and enjoy my tine on steemit. So far I can say I only have one friend here ahaha but I love reading the writing contents and drawing contents. Im still exploring here and I hv no idea about tech talks or crypto but I agree that having a platfirm that push the socialness is definitely better than just focusing on making the sbd. Steemit kinda remind me of LJ and I hope in the future all kind of communities exist here.
