Today I wanted to make a Steemit perfume bottle. How did I come with this design? Well, it just came after trying many times. I had different designs and changed many times. Suddenly I had a sort of pumpkin shape and decided to stick with this weird shape. The details came afterwards. I just kept adding and adding little details, changed the colours couple of times. There are also little details at the bottom of the perfume bottle to make it more exclusive. I am also happy I was able to make this animation of the perfume bottle that I designed today. It just makes the perfume bottle more attractive.
The bottle has a dark brown, coffee colour. I gave it a "glass" look. The cap is made of black leather and the hexagon coin with the Steemit logo is made of polished platinum. I really like the combination of the dark colour glass with leather and polished platinum.
At the bottom of the bottle I gave some small details that give the bottle that extra exclusiveness. It has a leather hexagon coin with a platinum frame and steemit logo text in the middle.
Tutorial
First I offset the planes, creating the shape of the bottle. (Construct > Offset Plane)
Then I sketched 4 hexagons on the 4 planes, two of each are the same. Then I offset the hexagons. This is for the inner of the bottle, because the bottle is hollow.
I lofted the 4 outer hexagons, leaving the offset hexagon like it is (Create > Loft) It looks now like a pumpkin.
I didn't like the shape so I chamfer the edges. I also lofted the offset inner hexagon.(Modify > Chamfer)
For the cap, I extruded the top of the hexagon and applied bevels on the edges of the cap using Chamfer function.
To create a realistic look of the bottle, I included this design with a bottle sprayer( if you call it like that). I sketched two different sizes of circles and extruded them. I sketched a very small circle at the front and extruded it for the sprayer.
I inserted a Steemit SVG file as the logo and extruded it. Then I moved it a bit inside the cap.
I wasn't happy yet and felt the bottle missed something. So I extruded the bottom of the bottle with 2 mm and gave it a leather look in black. Then I sketched the Steemit text, extruded it and moved it a bit inside the leather.
I continued and gave the leather piece a platinum frame around it. Now that bottom is ready.
I decided to give the cap one more detail so I made a hexagon frame around it.
Result
I am VERY happy with the result!
The spray also works.
the box is great now lets hope that steems well when pushed !!! :D
Love the animation and envious of your 3d skills!
Thank you! :-). You can always install fusion 360. Its free and you learn it too :-).
I might have to give that a go some time!
wow the design is so fascinating i loved your work :)
☺
WOW! This is super cool!
Thank you @nomad17. ☺
you're welcome :)
Are you planning on actually printing it?
No, unfortunetely not everything is possible to print. Especially if i want it from glass, leather and platinum.
Depends on how glass like you want it to be. In our fablab we have a Formlabs Form2. It can print opaque glass like results.
That would be cool to have!
Another creative 3D product you made. Nice lesson how to make it. Thanks for sharing.
Up-Voted & Re-Steemed.
Thanks for the resteem!
Great design. Let me know when you start selling those and I'll be one of your first clients :)
Hehehe, yeah it would be amazing if this bottle would be in real. Thanks
Now that's amazing !
I love the look, it feels like it'd have a price tag in the 100's XO (especially with the materials you talk about).
I've really got to look into that tool you're using, with your tutorials I think I'd get a good and fast start with it :)
Oh, actually dropped by to tell you about something too, since you've complained about the speed of 3D printing in the past ;)

The tech looks very interesting, even though it's basicly a more advanced version of resin light-exposure printing.
Hehehe, yes it looks very expensive :-D.i am happy to hear you want to learn from my tutorials. Yes, a print in seconds would be a dream come true! Thanks! I am happy to hear you want to learn from my tutorials. :-). Yes , printing in seconds would be much better than minutes or hours! Thanks!
Wow...awesome steemit logo perfume bottle with tutorials. Nice one @fathin-shihab. Keep going and my best wishes for do more creative products.
Thank you @madushanka!
Very cool design and the animations are awesome. What program did you use to make the animations ?
Thank you! I used the same program, fusion 360. Its free!
i dont know if my program that i use can do it. worth looking into :)
