I like this idea at first glance. I am also not that interested in 1,5% interest per year on SP. If that extra STEEM can be used to make the platform better and stronger and therefore raise the price of STEEM across the board everyone will benefit way more. Development is everything.

of course there are a lot of details to iron out, but I feel that using 15% of funds to pay 1.5%pa on something with a volatility of close to 5% daily is tantamount to flushing it down the toilet
