The Most Important But Hidden Truth That Your Recruiter May Not Have Told You About Steem Blockchain

in #steemit7 years ago

Great Steemians, I greet you all.

I was reading a post by @surpassinggoogle in which he recommended www.steemitstage.com as an alternative to be used whenever www.steemit.com is being updated or experiencing instability of any type and therefore appears to be inaccessible. While commenting on that post, I stated that I was about making a post to that effect so that people stop entertaining panics over the health status of www.steemit.com. And that I would no longer make the post since his post has already taken care of that. He insisted, however, that I should make the post, perhaps because we obviously do not share the same fan base.

The fundamental difference between steemit.com and steem blockchain is one important aspect of this program that is rarely told during the recruitment process. As a result, a lot of Steemians both old and new members do not know this, leading to a situation where people begin to entertain unnecessary panics whenever there is an issue with Steemit.com, just like the recent DDOS attack.

Cryptocurrency issues are all about financial matters. There should be proper information and education in any business or program where money is involved, and in which humans are major players. This is necessary to strengthen people's confidence at all times. Because panic of any magnitude, irrespective of how negligible, isn't healthy for such systems. I believe that the recent dive in the price of steem can be partly attributed to the majority of Steemians' misconception about the relationship between steemit.com and steem blockchain. This post is therefore intended to uncover this hidden truth so that the larger steemit community is properly informed.

Steem blockchain is a complete different entity from steemit.com. To that extent, steem continued existence is not dependent upon the state of steemit.com. In other words, Steemit.com is only a front-end built on top of steem blockchain. Anyone can access steem blockchain using alternative front-ends such as www.steemitstage.com, www.busy.com, www.chainbb.com, etc.

So there's absolutely nothing whatsoever to panic about. People should know this truth. Steem blockchain has come to stay. So whenever www.steemit.com is having issues, that doesn't mean steem blockchain is distressed. Steem blockchain is healthy and solid. To some extent, I am quite happy about the current state of steemit.com... This current challenges it's been experiencing has really help in demystifying it. Most people are being informed. For the first time, most people are getting to know and appreciate the difference between these two entities.

Furthermore, I think further improvements on www.steemit.com be stopped forthwith. Rather, tools and frameworks should be created to make it easy for those who are interested in creating new front-ends to do so. I think that's the original idea behind steem platform. We must go back to the basics. The managers of steem system should ensure that the current attention on steemit.com is curtailed. If one can build one's own websites on top of steem, then you have taken care of all other issues you may be having with Steemit.com.

Steemians who major in recruitment of new participants should endeavor to point out this fundamental difference between steemit.com and steem blockchain before having them signed up. This will ensure that people don't get panic whenever either of the existing alternative front-ends is undergoing routine maintenance. With this, price of steem will be more stabilised during emergency situations.

Yeah.. This is exactly what it is. This is not GHW or MMM that goes distressed with a faulty website. This is the blockchain. Everything here is documented and can hardly be erased. Have anyone wondered why you cannot delete a post entirely after it had been made? That's a sign of the indelible nature of the blockchain.

Yes you are very right my friend. Whatever that is written here can never be erased. Thanks for stopping by

I will share this important data...Thanks for this explanation.

You are missing welcome my brother. Share to douse tension.

Hi @eurogee
Thanks for sharing this post, I actually entertained fears over the stability of www.steemit.com following the recent issues. This post did not only clear my fears but gave more insights into the whole deal. Thanks again.

Hello @dubem-eu

Education is continuous for life. I am happy this post clears your fears.

@eurogee

Wasn't even scared from the very first moment.
And I had always waited for the server to be right on track. I don't enjoying surfing through any other font end.

Thanks for your input my friend. However, everyone cannot be you. Some people were actually panicking.

Good information @eurogee, I'll still ask questions on this topic but first of all, I think it's better to visit those alternative front-ends; www.steemitstage.com, www.busy.com, www.chainbb.com and see how they operate.

Thanks big.

Good one there. Even though I didn't entertain any fears when there seemed to be a glitch as I rarely knew what was going, now I do understand the difference between the two. Thanks to you!
