I began to often meet posts and messages from Steemit newbies about scamers at Steemit-chat, a place that people use to communicate and promote their posts. Therefore, the purpose of this post is to warn the Steemit users from committing an error that will lead to the loss of their hard earned money.

RU. В последнее время мне я стала часто встречать посты и сообщения о мошенниках в Стимит-чате, месте, которое люди используют для общения и продвижения своих постов. Поэтому цель этого поста - предупредить Стимит пользователей от совершения ошибки, которая приведет к потере тяжело заработанных вами денег.

Step 1: An Offer

So, you wrote a post and put a link to it in one of the promo channels. Within a few minutes you will receive a DM with the offer to transfer a small amount of STEEM or SBD in exchange for a "sweet" upvote from the whale. 1-2 SBD seems to you a small payment for an upvote worth about 30-40 dollars.

RU. Итак, вы написали пост и кидаете ссылку на него в один из промо-каналов. В течении нескольких минут вам приходит личное сообщение с предложением перевести небольшую сумму Стим долларов взамен на "жирный" апвоут. 1-2 SBD кажутся вам незначительной платой за апвоут стоящий 30-40 долларов.

You look at the name of this user and see that it belongs to a respected person with a high reputation, one of the whales at Steemit, + he gives a link to his Steemit page. Hm... Very tempting offer, a unique opportunity! Profit! How can you reject it?

RU. Вы смотрите на имя этого пользователя и видите, что оно принадлежит уважаемому человеку с высокой репутацией, одному из китов на Стимит, к томку же он дает ссылку на его Стимит-профиль. Очень заманчивое предложение, уникальная возможность! Как тут можно отказываться?

You are not even bothered by the fact that he asks you to transfer money not to his Steemit wallet, but directly to the exchange. And in vain!

RU. Вас даже не настораживает то, что он просит перечислить деньги не на Стимит-кошелек, а прямо на биржу. А зря!

Step 2. Time to think (some skip this step and go straight to Step 3)

Now it's time to digress from beautiful pictures, turn on your brain and remember your registration process at Steemit-chat.

You did not go there with your posting or with an active key, like on Busy or eSteem. You registered with your e-mail and freely chose any name. Steemit-chat is a stand-alone application and the names at Steemit-chat do not have to match the names at Steemit. They can be similar but don't have to. Everyone can freely choose any name for chating. You can be even @ned or @knozaki like this optimistic guy

RU. Вот сейчас самое время отвлечься от красивых картинок, включить свой мозг и вспомнить свой процесс регистрации в Стимит-чате.
Вы ведь заходили туда не своим постинг или активным ключом, как на Busy или eSteem. Вы регистрировались с помощью вашей електронной почты и свободно выбирали себе любое имя. Стимит-чат - это отдельно стоящее приложение, и имена в чате не обязаны совпадать с именами на Стимит. Они могут совпадать, но это не обязательно. Имя для чата это свободный выбор каждого. Вы можете назваться даже @ned или @knozaki как этот оптимист

Now it's time to use your logic and think about why the whale sends hundreds of Private messages at Steemit-chat, if he can write 1 post with a proposal at Steemit and it will be seen by thousands of his subscribers. Why should he spend his time and engage in such nonsense, if it is much easier for him to give his power into delegation and get profit without unnecessary troubles.

RU. Теперь пора включить свою логику и подумать, зачем киту рассылать сотни разных приватных сообщений в чате, если он может написать 1 пост с предложением и его увидят тысячи его подписчиков. Зачем ему вообще тратить свое время и заниматься подобной ерундой, если намного проще сдать силу в делегацию и получать свою прибыль без лишних хлопот.

Step 3. Your turn

If this offer is interesting to you and you are ready to make a deal, it will be useful to go through the all next doing:

• Ask this person to write you a message at Steemit from his account (the very one with which he is going to vote).
• It makes sense to check his Voting Power and the maximum cost of his upvote on Steemnow.com. Promised $30 upvote can be real $5-10.
• Compare the wallet history at Steemit to his voting history at Steemd.com. Some users do not sell their votes or use minimal VP.
• Don't transfer to his Poloniex or Bittrex account, these transactions can not be tracked, and never be returned.
• Remember that 1 SBD now costs much more than $1 under your post

RU. Если это вам интересно и вы уже готовы согласиться, не лишним будет сделать следующее:
-Попросите человека написать вам сообщение в Стимит с его аккаунта (того самого, с которого он собирается голосовать)
-Есть смысл проверить его Силу Голоса и максимальную стоимость апвоута на Steemnow.com. Обещанные $30 могут оказаться на самом деле $5-10.
-Сравните историю кошелька на Стимит с историей его голосований на Steemd.com. Некоторые пользователи не продают голоса или используют минимальную Силу Голоса.
-Не переводите напрямую на его Poloniex или Bittrex аккаунт, эти транзакции не отследить и их невозможно вернуть.
-Помните, что 1 SBD сейчас стоит намного больше чем $1 под вашим постом.

Personally, I do not play such games and do not believe that in the chat you can get a really good offer.
I see scamers behind these "famous" acconts. And since there is no way to somehow punish these guys I like to troll them.

Everybody want to see high payout under their posts but remember that free cheese is only in a mousetrap. Use your brains. Write quality posts and you will not need these doubtful deals.
