I am and I have read couple months ago about marketing to push steemit out there more.

It's great seeing the number of accounts continually increasing. Very important develop with Polo activating the Steem wallets. Steem is already leaving Polo and hopefully people can get as much out as possible. They have artificially suppressed the Steem price for quite some time b/c of this issue.
With only +300 daily it will take forever. But you've got to remember that these numbers are not really real; more users sign up, but has to wait to get in.
A lot of the lack of new accounts has to do with how Steemit handles new sign ups; which is extremely slow. There are probably extremely many people in the queue to get on here. Luckily this will be fixed in the next hardfork.

That is a very good sign for the future of Steem. Once less whales sell of their tokens, it will increase the demand and rise in price.

Good old poloniex, last time i heard about them was at the btc chain split, where they announced that they will keep the BCH for themselves.
Interesting on poloniex news. I'm staying away from them after all the issues they've had.
