DAILY STEEM REPORT OCTOBER, 23THsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Did the shit already hit the fan.... or not? I wasn't write much lately on my reports , well there wasn't much to write about it, numbers only moving in one direction.... down. After the all time high in July, todays number reached a record low. Number of Authors, Active users , number of Curators, and the Steemprice has never been lower then today....

But there is a number which gets my attention today. Liquid Steem! The tradable Steem has grown now for weeks, there was a small exception around the 24th of September, where this number gets lower and the Steem price was going up. Same looks like to happen today, it lower than yesterdays, so people start to buy Steem.

Here a some graphs from 15th Sept. until 15th Oct.

What I really missing here at Steemit is that the 2 Captain's starts to speak up! They haven't wrote in weeks, Steemit looks like an abandoned ship! Let us know, at least on what you are working on, I heard Ned talking in Steemspeak a while ago, but most of the Steemians don't know whats going on... a public Roadmap would be nice.... just my 2 cents...

They are probably working on Golos.io, the Russian copy of steem.

You know, the one that sold out all the steem users by splitting the manpower and devpower of steem in half. They can now relive and refarm all the tricks that worked the first time, like fake persona introductions, bot voting swarms, and gambling threads over in Russian now. It will be more profitable there for at least 2 months, until the Russians catch on to the constant sell off's by the insiders running the network.

Instead of simply translating Steemit into Russian and doubling the user base, they sold the codebase out from under the investors for some rubles. Now it is worth half of what it was.

So very disappointing.

I didn't know about this one..... lack of communication.....

It seems to me that Steemit users are getting discouraged. A lot of them come here to make some money, only to find out that they can't get the attention and the upvotes that they need to succeed. But, all of that has been covered in other articles, so I won't belabor the point.

coming to make money is the wrong mindset at this stage of the site. Coming to build both your own following and the community is what is needed. Those who do that now will reap the rewards later.

Umm...In my case, I need the money for daily expenses...

I get that, but in the short term that is unlikely to happen. I am not trying to be rude, just realistic. When the price of STEEM starts to move up consistently, then our posting rewards will move. If you've built up a reputation and following, then you'll reap the rewards.

OKay, thanks for the words of wisdom. We'll just have to keep the faith then.

Thanks for the link , very helpful. But you see, thats my point, not everyone read that post, why dan or ned are not posting about it?

Maybe they want to underpromise and overdeliver.

I think what a lot of speculators and new comers lose sight of pretty quickly is that the words "BETA" are clearly at the top next to Steemit.

It was said by the dev team itself, its an "experiment", and never claimed to be experts in fiat currencies, market exchanges, supply / demand". They are primarily programmers working to make something new and make it work.

No one should be coming here thinking to make a quick buck or plan their next venture capital investment. Its simply too early to tell. All anyone coming to this site should take from it is that its a test, you can earn crypto - rewards for posting quality content that is based on the voting power of the community.

As a speculator of crypto trading and an artist I find this site interesting and as a new author of content on this site It doesn't hurt me to post my art here, when otherwise it would just be sitting on FB, Instagram, pinterest, flixr and never gain any attention.

This describes perfectly, almost verbatim, how I feel about Steemit right now.

Thanks, i agree with you, just missing the communication and a roadmap from dan and ned, like I said it would be easy for them to motivate everybody from time to time....

Great post! Very good question. Hopefully people dont abandon it too soon. Gotta stick with it. This is for the long haul not a quick money maker. Upvoted and Reblogged. 🍀

Thanks and agree!

I mean, when did they communicate with us? Your expectations are not realistic, man :) But you are right.
