RE: Freedom for everyone?

in #steemit8 years ago

Interesting development, though not surprising. How long will it be before, due to the exponential curve, that, say, 30 accounts decide to unite and operate as a collective?
I hear what you say about people who vote for everyone but a 3% vote, while better than nothing, is leading to poor quality getting equal rewards to good quality.
A few days ago I wrote a news story which was on page 1 of a Google News search (I shalln't elaborate) - it had $0.06 on 78 votes - I am happy to say that @steemnews.online picked it up and things improved.
Voting with 1,2 or 3% - sure it is better than nothing and I get that people cannot read everything but it becomes a 'throw enough mud against the wall' scenario.
Thank you, @elyaque for a very informative post!

I know what you try to say, of course there is a lot of bullshit post's around, but if he only votes with 3% for example with that power, its some cents, maybe a $. The point is, if he votes for everyone, we maybe solve a bit the retention problem.... Let's face it, we have around 3000 active user's since months, but we have everyday more and more accounts, so the people who opened the account's doesn't stay on the platform, they leave after some days, because they don't see any success..... If you are a new user and see nothing for your posts, you leave, but if you see some cents, you maybe try harder and put more effort in it......

Agreed, it is, as with many things in life, a case of getting on and doing your job well and the things which one cannot control will, given a fair wind, take care of themselves. This begs the question, is it a fair wind?
I have also noticed that a lot of the 'post and hope' people are not new ... they are working in the knowledge that there are 'vote for all' people around.
