Where is Steemit headed? The Steem 2017 Roadmap - check it out!
For those newbies to Steemit (like me) I recommend taking a look at the Steem 2017 roadmap https://steem.io/2017roadmap.pdf.
This document was published in January and it sets out the direction Steem, and Steemit, will develop over the coming year. Many of the promises made (drag and drop photos, for example), have already been kept - with flying colours.
Others are due to roll out this year. Did you know they are planning to build a system of communities into Steemit? Did you know they are planing to allow authors to moderate the comments to their posts? But beware of the fine print. In the name of transparency, those keen enough to look will be able to find the unedited version of everything written coded forever into the blockchain.
A brave new world is around the corner, and we are already participating! But it pays to know what's coming!
