Steemit is as strong as ever.
While Bitcoin is hogging the market at the moment, there is only one way for quality altcoins like STEEM to go, and that is up.
If you missed the boat with the initial Bitcoin bonanza like me, and only came to the blockchain party after April/May like me, and you decided to hedge your bets and invest in a few altcoins, like me, don't despair.
Fair warning - I am not a financial advisor.
But I watch things. I have a bit of a clue about culture. And I know a little about innovation as well.
What I see happening is a Blockchain growth-spurt.
And where Bitcoin goes, the altcoin market follows.
At the moment, a lot of the blockchain investment happening is being made in a 'gold-rush' mentality. And Bitcoin is the gold.
That is good news.
If you saw my post the other day with my 10 year prediction for Steemit, you will remember that I predicted that Bitcoin would be the gold standard of blockchain - as if it's not already.
So yes, buy BTC if you can afford it. Hold it.
And altcoins?
Think about it.
Each time there is a gold rush on Bitcoin, more people become active traders in blockchain. When the gold rush is over (until next time), sure some of them will decide to hold and think about pork bellies instead - but you know what? Most of them will be keeping an eye on the altcoin market, waiting for the next big break. Watching. Investing.
Remember that even with a combined market cap of US $172B, the money invested in blockchain technology is literally a fraction of what is invested in tech stocks alone in the US.
The current lull in investment in altcoins will change. It is changing. It's changing in real time, before our eyes. And Bitcoins bull run is the harbinger.
And when investment in altcoins gets serious, it will be the proven players that will get the attention first.
All we have to do is stick with steemit and help it grow.
That's it.
