The Fuckup Files Experiment - Report Number 1

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Here are the contributors for the first post:

ContributorAmount
@j3dy1 SBD
@dreemit1.2 SBD
@trevor.george12 Steem
@merej991 SBD
@personz3 SBD
@deanliu10 Steem
@edje2 SBD
@playfulfoodie1 SBD
@sumsum11 Steem
@paolobeneforti5 Steem
@dolov10 Steem
Total48 Steem / 9.2 SBD

I kept 20% from this, which is 9.6 Steem + 1.84 SBD and then redistributed the remaining equally among all contributors as follows:

48 - 9.6 = 38.4 / 11 = 3.49 Steem per person

9.2 - 1.84 = 7.36 / 11 = 0.67 SBD per person

Total amount contributed: 48 Steem + 9.2 SBD. At an average price of $0.17 per Steem => $8.16 + 9.2 SBD = (approx) $17.32

Total potential from voting: $10.9

Total number of contributors: 11

Average contribution per person: 4.36 Steem / 0.83 SBD

The next article from the series will be published on March 24th, which is in 2 days. For more details about the experiment, go here.

Later edit: the rewards for this post (which was not set as "Decline Payout" are: 4.937 SBD, 4.834 Steem and 33.709 Steem Power. All the liquid rewards (SBD and Steem) have been redistributed equally to all the initial contributors to the first post (the ones listed above). 0.448 SBD/person and 0.439 Steem / person. I kept only the Steem Power.

I notice this post is not decline payout. Are you coming back to the fold?

Umm, not necessarily. I'm thinking that reports may follow the same pattern, but without asking people to contribute. I will keep 20% of the potential rewards (from voting) and redistribute the rest to the contributors of the first article.

This will be only for the reports. It wasn't in the initial plan, I just came up with this now after I clicked "publish" too soon. What do you think about it?

Great :) We all will be getting a little extra by exident. I like it.

Sounds consistent with your approach, but I don't have a personal opinion on it.

I find the project interesting though so will keep following! Especially things that work within the system but are essentially outside of it in terms of mechanism. 😄 👍

maybe I will understand when I grow up, so far I like having somebody that I can send money and get some back, banks don't seem to work that way :D nether do shops :D not at this scale, what if there were no taxes, keanu meme would say :D

thx Drago :)

Thanks you for the Steem / SBD!

I thank you for participating in it! :)

Absolutely!! :)

Morning :)

I am late to jump on this train, sorry. Lots of work in last days and not enough time to read the posts.

At first I thought that I could invest once for the whole duration of your experiment. Out of laziness, of course.

Now I realise that you do the math and financing for each round individually. Correct?

OK, waiting for your next post to contribute. Have a great Friday and weekend!

Your post was upvoted, resteemed and featured on Steemit Appreciation Friday No. 10 - thank you for contributing to the community.

I have an idea, can you make a bot please :) one that redistributes pools based on settings, in short, you send it steem or whatever, name the people and the allocation parameters, then it carries out the operation, so 100 xsteem to @ asd asd asd split even/split by order/ split by options, pretty much like voting and percentages but with currency, I'm sure that would be a good feature, I suppose that is what they want to do with the delegation of SP but it's not quite the same :) I'd like to see that and my uncoding mind doesn't allow me :D I hate coding so much I can only think of ideas and then leave them, I suppose I need to hire a coder :D anyways, though that might interest you with the experiment and the VIVA stuff :), any news on the VIVA, I'm thinking of participating in the contest so if you could point me to some quality materials I can do graphics on that'd be great, if the contest is still open, it was quite lucrative :)

Sorry for the wall of text, coffee hype :)
