Thanks for this great advice @walkingkeys! I'm a newbie Steemian looking forward to growing with the platform; already I've been sharing my Steemit posts on Facebook to get the name out there, and tryign to produce as much good content as possible. I will follow some of these other tips to try to improve Steemit for me and for everyone!
