Actually, your post points out the problem with the system,... What we need is people voting on what they feel is good content, and not on what they think will hit big. If everybody where to vote the way you describe, we will have a umber of accounts trending no matter what they post, and great content standing no chance,...
Read posts before you vote, and vote on what you like, rather than hoping to make 0,002 SP by jumping on the right bandwagon,...
The new user reputation ranking exacerbate this. You can just surf the new post for high reputations. I have noticed the post with reps under 6 are getting even feet votes than they used to.
Well, if you follow an user i guess you follow him because you like what he posts.. It's up to you how to apply this method...
I fully support following users, and voting for stuff you like. I do not support blindly voting for a whale's post because you suppose that it will be voted on by many other people (for the same reason,...).
Mybe like a shortcut to boost earning
But since i joining steem,theres no any easy way to make shortcut :-)

I see you tried. It is well issued post. But I vote against, your strategy leads to destruction of the idea of STEEMIT. You use the vote incorrectly.
I don't get your point of view... Is a method to follow and track certain users.. i don't see how is very bad for steemit... i don't see this post so bad to get flagged... or maybe you got it to personal ?
The vote is granted to you for the choice of worthy content, you have to make this choice consciously. The fact that you vote in 39 seconds, says that you don't even read what the author writes about.
Well, the curation rewards works like that... if you upvote in the first you will get a bigger piece from rewards... so if i will follow a user it means that i like what he posts.. i always read the posts becuase i always can to retire my upvote if i don't like the content.. did you get the point ?
Voting early will be penalized by the reverse auction algorithm.
If you vote immediately after a post is made, then 99.94% of the curation reward will go to the author. If you vote after 15 minutes, then 50% will go to the author. Any votes made 30 minutes or later 100% will go to the curator.
