The reason behind the price explosion of Steem Dollars (SBD) on 25th April, 2017
Steem Dollars reached its highest price ever on 25th of April, 2017, to an astounding price of 0.00525BTC that is around 6.63$ for 1 Steem Dollar. On that day it also had its highest trading volume, from the time it was available to trade, amounting to 215BTC!!
You might be wondering what caused this price explosion, well it was done by a community. A pump and dump community known as FairPumps. They were the ones who organized this "event" and pumped the price of Steem Dollars to such height in order to profit from it when the price was at its peak by dumping. And this was all done within 24 Hours.
