RE: My Thoughts on the Next Hardfork Proposal

in #steemit8 years ago

I don't think this is such a good idea. This will introduce a lot of spammers, and people will be incentivized to push out low quality content. Furthermore it increase the inflation further, which is already a huge drag on the STEEM price.

This change will not change inflation at all. Inflation is a fixed rate regardless of how it is distributed.

Also, at the time we implemented this rule there was not good feed/follower/mute options.

People posting things isn't the issue, it is how people vote and what gets discovered. When there is a flood of content it will be more important than ever to get good followers.

Sort:

4 is very small when you think about it. Over a week-end it is really to come up with 4 subjects. Maybe putting a limit to something like 10 would make everyone, if not most happy: low spamming and more posting flexibility.

I see, so it's a fixed cap on inflation, for a period of time ,and that gets distributed between voters/authors accordingly.

Can you please comment on the editable post feature. What if people giving out their posts keys to curation services (like most curators), get their keys compromized one way or the other, then their posts could be vandalized by malicious entities.

At least there should be some sort of rollback feature there, or a versioning system, as suggested by @fulltimegeek, and which is already present in most word editing software.
