Second nicotine, good way of putting it :) I think your advise is solid. The fact is that we are all programmed to want to Excel. Naturally there is nothing nicer then to feel recognized. On steemit I think being on the receiving end is the best way to get traction. I have been living in China for 15 years and there is one saying that really stuck with me; " Don't try to be an ocean, don't try to be a lake, don't try to be a river either, instead be the small creek in the bottom of the valley and all water will flow to you sooner or later".
