Why is Steem falling the past few days?

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

This is not something people should be worried about, imo. It's part of the gaming of cryptocurrencies and how things move around.

Right now as I write, Bitcoin has shot up from $800 - $853 in just one day. This, imo is why Steem is falling.

People are investing into bitcoin with their Steem right now. Why? Well, people are profiting right now. Even a lowdown scoundrel hacker like me has done this years ago when Bitcoin did the same thing then.

You invest into Bitcoin right now and you'll almost be guaranteed to profit/see it grow within hours of time.

So, people are dumping Steem into Bitcoin... making money before the bubble pops.

I have seen people saying it'll go to $2000 by 2017... yes days from now. These are someone's goals and if it continues to rise like it is right now... it will.

However, I don't see this bubble popping this time like before. Bitcoin and crypto is going to be the currency of interstellar space travel. The price may always rise... who knows.

It's the wave of the future... when things settle down in a few weeks Steem will build back up when things are focused back to here.

Social media like Steemit will follow suit in the next few years. This is why Steemit devs don't care right now about the price, because THEY KNOW this will follow suit with other altcoins.

Right now is the time to buy up Steem. Get it while it's cheap, because it won't be in the next few years.

You being here means you're a pioneer. Steem on!

this times it's not a bubble, it's adoption and scarcity

truth.
yeah - I was trying to find language people would understand - this isn't like anything before.
Why I said it may always rise.
This is going to be awesome.

Now Bitcoin is $870.00

Steem trades may comprise some of the uptick lately, but BTC has usually spiked this time of year in the past. Also, Steem trades directly into Ethereum on Poloniex. Many are opting for that instead with a bigger upside potential.

Yeah it is a yearly trend, indeep... Changelly also just made it easier to buy crypto with credit cards so maybe that too?

IDK, I like seeing this, though.

amazing news for changejelly, now i can buy steem with credit/debit card

yep. Really cool.

Christmas has come early for bitcoin, good for us who are holding. As for steem I think it's because the whales are powering down not too sure but that's my assumption.

We all know....especially the hard core crypto-guys. But the question is----> when will it pull back?......

That's the thing... will it pull back? Bitcoin has never been traditional. It may be the first time it's something that keeps on going up. People are waking up to the fact it's the most secure way to hold their money. The most secure way to spend it, and etc. IMO, 2017 will be the year people WITH money wake up that crypto is the way to go.

Fuck the banks and oppressive governments.

I truly hate the Central Bank...AKA Federal Reserve banks.....They run this country....and if you want to know why?......check this video out.....I did this tooo as the video shows....it fuck up....

Interesting Posts :) Good Read

Most of the alts fall whenever Bitcoin goes on huge surges like we are seeing. Traders will be back. Myself, I'm glad the price was pushed back down. Steem is way undervalued and I hope everyone takes advantage of these lower prices.

I remember the first time I noticed Steem it was at about 10 cents. When it hit $1 I bought in . I sold at $5 and watched the slow plummet. It's the way markets work, and Steem will be no different.

When prices are pushed down, it's the time to buy, if in fact you believe the platform is still doing well.

Happy Steeming!
