[Cultura Bitcoin witness update, decentralizing the spanish community]
This update is about good practices within the steem network and node features.
Never share your hash keys or password with anyone.
Avoid applications or sites that send your password or hash keys over the Internet (note that the Steemit website uses your keys locally in your browser).
Sharing them without caution, in addition to being a security malpractice, that can empower certain users to abuse the network, if you are not sure if the application or website handle your keys correctly, do not use it.
In this sense, we have noticed that the Spanish language tags are being saturated with marketing, please use the simple tags so that the global community of Spanish users can find your posts in an organized way such as..."literatura","cine","foto", "viaje", "ciencia", etc. The culturabitcoin tag was created to bring current issues in Spanish within the actual dynamics of the blockchains, technology, science and cultural aspects within these three contexts, as a way of organizing the information flow.
- Stats
Our node has been running for 44 days with an average latency of 400ms and we have changed the use of Piston (python library for steem economics) to Steem Python for testing and automating processes in the future. This library is the one that the development is currently focusing on, Piston will no longer be worked on.
Our feed publish is already automated and working, we will soon migrate the node to a more suitable hosting.
We would also like to remind you that the Blue paper is already available in Spanish, this document is an easy and understandable introduction for those who do not want that layer of technicalities, any input or correction please feel free to propose it.
We recommend you to follow the witness @nnnarvaez, it is a good witness to understand the state of the art in the Spanish language.
Thank you to everyone who supports our witness! :]
