Steemit User of the Month (May) Contest
This post is going to be short and sweet. I'd like to help out new steemit channels that have yet to get their baring, so I'm thinking every month I will have a "Steemit User of the Month".
What does this mean if you are selected?

Prize Portal uses the rewards from posts to pay for prizes to be given away by random draw. The bigger it gets, and more rewards it takes in, the better the prizes can become. I feel like it has huge potential but has yet to really take off. First a prize is selected by myself, or one of my trusted users. Then it gets posted for steemians to vote if they want it in the prize pool or not.
Once enough revenue is obtained, a selection of prizes from the prize pool are entered into a Prize Battle and any steemian can use their steem power by comment vote to pick what they want to see in the next prize draw. The prize with the highest amount of steem power behind it is the prize to be drawn in the next draw.
Then a prize draw post is made, and steemians can enter for free once again by comment vote, there is a list of requirements, but they are easy to do. Users of bitshares can also buy extra entries from the bitshares market in the form of PPBITS for 0.25 SBD each. Unlike the free method an unlimited number of entries per user is allowed. Simply send any amount of PPBITS to the pp-bits bitshares account and each will count as a 1:1 entry into the draw.
When it is time for the draw to happen, I stream my desktop live to the TaskManager youtube channel, and use an online random thing picker to pick the winner. The winner has one week to submit their details and the prize is then shipped out. Prizes are available worldwide unless otherwise stated.
On top of that @prizeportal follows it's followers and votes on random content in it's feed, as steem power grows in the account this will become a greater reward for it's followers.
Right now prizes seem sparse because not enough votes come in to pay for prizes as fast as I would like. The income has to be there in order for prizes to be sent out. Once popularity picks up, prize draws could happen every few days, and prize selection will improve.

Hello everyone my name is @larutanton! I've only just started here on Steemit and it has only been 8 full days, here at steemit we all have something to say and what do I have to bring to it?
I attempt to bring fresh outlooks on life, new thoughts and ideas and a sense of fun to all of Steemit!
Right now i've started a series, and every week a new episode will be released. Between resteeming, commenting and voting I'll dip my hand in many topics and genres.
I specifically love to make videos, so much of my content will be in that form, although shorter less time consuming blogs will be done also.
We here at steemit all want to be successful! And I am no different in that regard, so even tho telling a reason why only I should win a contest is very embarrassing, I will humbly do so.
I bring longevity! Thru thick and thin here on now my favorite and only true blog/social media outlet, I will stay and seed my garden and build upon any success we have together,

Why I should be selected: I work hard at this and love to do it because I get to share who I am and what I am passionate about. I may have just started, but I am all in. I want to make my channel one that inspires and brings like minded people togeather for a cry, a laugh, a place to come and be entertained. I plan to be successful in doing so to grow my channel to the point that it is my source of income and my family and I have the freedom to live a life I never imagined possible. My goal is to be living off of my channels income in Purto Vallarta, Mexico within the next 2 years (hopefully sooner). You will be able to say, I had a big contribution in getting that awesome page noticed and now look at it. I can do the same for others once I have made it and play this forward, so that we continue to lift each other up as we rise.

My Channel is sovereigntyintl and I have been on steemit for 7 days and I help slaves free themselves. I could help more slaves free themselves if they knew they were slaves.
My channel is about the law and how it works. Because of Google's censorship on Youtube I have been forced to look elsewhere to promote my channel, which is probably a good thing anyway. It is when we are uncomfortable that we grow the most, and I have recently set up this channel and one on vid.me

I started the Channel because I heard that Steemit was a blockchain platform and was anxious to start getting my message out without predudice or censorship. I have never used any social media and this gave me the opportunity to come out and try to spread my message. The message is simply stated the truth.

This is my 1st time doing such networking work and i found it very amazing and at same time very depressing..!!! Because if you post some good stuff and it just vanished away in Rush without being noticed.. then thats very disturbing...!!!
But I think thats how things work and I am started getting used to it. Regardless of all this i think i have potential to eject out some good stuff with passage of time and with more appreciation ☺. Now i know how hard it is to do blogging.. as earlier i was just skimming others blog and then going to another without leaving comments or appreciation.. which i think is terrible act to do☺!!!
