Why I Stopped Powering Down My Steem Power
The value of the Steem Price has dropped significantly enough that I am now ready to begin buying more.
Steem is now on sale, and that's a great thing :)

59,000 Steemit users currently. www.steemd.com
but only about 3000 steem power users who are active, so its 3000 users not 50,000.. see https://steemd.com/distribution
Yeah, your logic makes sense, Mr. Grant. Only those actively using and investing in the platform are possibly contributing as a meaningful part of the population. The real minnows are these guys...the rest are like microbes lol.
I have read somewhere that many new accounts get created by miners who mine steem(dont's repeat this until you check into it first), it's because of some type of account creation bonus that miners get, so that's why only paying attention to accounts that have $50 or more in steem power as real steemit accounts
A lot of people will come just for the content. Steem $$$ will drive better content than Reddit. Steem is in for a wild ride!
I see, thanks! That's indeed a better reference than Steemwhales
GREAT VIDEO :)
Thanks! Ye inspired me again, with your rants. Keep it up- your insights are without compare, elsewhere.
I still haven't powered down but I don't have near the steem power as you.
Are we looking at the same chart ? What goes up must come down...
Steem will go DOWN another 10X to 0.0003
Trust me I've been trading these things before your and @craig-grant new what a blockchain was :-p
Look at all the early investors, they are powering down hard...
Yes, the investors need to keep powering down so bloggers can take over, the best version of steemit is when steem bloggers have most of the steem power, not bitcoin investors, and that's exactly how things are going, it will take months, but it shall be done
I just looked at it, I think your correct...looking like .0009, in any event, lower than most think...... link to screen shot https://www.tradingview.com/x/vMk6rwy8/
Yeah...it's surprising to me that people are so shocked by the continued decline in price- it's still far overvalued, but much better off, correction-wise.
That is only 1 side of the story. Yes, that hockey-stick growth is almost always unsustainable. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go down 80% or maybe even 90% from its' highs, which would put it at about $1.00 or $0.50, respectively. However, one has to take into consideration the enormous growth steemit has had in that time period and the projected future growth. I will continue to buy additional tranches and the more it goes down, the more money I'll spend on each subsequent tranche.
The number of Whales powering down to the tune of 10K USD a week and scammers like the dollar vigilante cashing out a few K's per day. There are a limited number of fools who send BTC to buy steem and PowerUp... Eventually when Dan can't cash out any more value he'll move on to another project who's main objective is once again to get people to send him bitcoin. This guy actually spoke to Saotshi back in the day and he's still greedy taking bitcoin from people.
This is what Satoshi Nakamoto told Dan, the creator of this platform;
| If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry. |

LOL survival of the fittest
This begs to me the question- what keeps you on here, if you're convinced of the true nature of this platform is malevolent for most of us? Have you invested at all, or have just curated and posted?
I wouldn't buy steem at this price with your money! Buying steem is NOT investing. It's losing money or basically sending it to NED and DAN as they power down their many many accounts. Anyone buying steems now is caught in a pump n dump. Say what you want, this is a fact. I am allowed to post my thoughts, trying to help the many naive and innocent victims of this platform.
Amen.
Don't take me the wrong way, I do feel like we'll continue to drop from where we are, but this is the time to invest in the platform- them powering down makes it cheaper for all of us to access the Steem. And weaker ultra-powerful whales isn't the worst thing.
People are complaining about the low price of STEEM, but that createsa good opportunity for everyone interested in investing long term by pruchasing Steem and turning it into Steem Power on steemit.
If you look at the SDB price it is much more stable and if you want to make actual money, then what you should do is just sell Steem Dollars and not STEEM.
I would love if STEEM dropped to 0.40 I would power up big time. I think the people who are used to trading pump and dump crypto will be wrong though as STEEM actually has a purpose behind it. Most don't and rely on its transactional value not an actual emotional value. Peoples motivation to share their story is not just financial but also emotional. That's why Steemit will be a success.
Steemit continues to fall https://steemit.com/steemit/@moneymaker/steemit-continues-to-fall
buy buy buyyyyy!!! to teh moon!!!!@#$#^&&*
powering down I am
A good idea. Even though no-one can call the bottom, it's better to "buy low"
(Hmm...I seem to have heard that somewhere before...)
In fact, I just bought some STEEM off Polo so as to test this fellow's helpful (and in my case, needed!) withdrawal instructions:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@me-tarzan/tutoril-how-to-send-steem-from-bittrex-to-steemit
He focused on Trex, but they should work for Polo too.
Thanks for the reinforcement.
