42 Posts = 11 and 1/2 Cents - The TRUTH ABOUT STEEMIT
This won't be a long post, the title says it all.
Im feeling ripped off. Time to abandon this ponzi pyramid scheme, although
11.5 cents sounds about right. It's the part at the bottom saying this account
is worth $78? Yeah. These steemit people are selling coin, fooling people to push up
the price, and doing bitcoin loans that make them $20,000 a month, to sit at
home and click.

While I don't agree with your thoughts or analogy of how Steemit works, everyone is free to have their own opinions.
Negativity is often not received well in the real world and of course here on Steemit, try to be positive, things won't happen overnight, it will take time and effort, buy hey is there another social media platform that even offers an opportunity to earn.
Does Facebook offer you a chance to earn...no, or Twitter...no, Instagram...no.
So why give up on something that could? You will get there but you must have some patience.
Dont approach this as a quick way to get rich man. If you are good enough then in the long term you will be a winner. Just build the following and bring value. Sooner or later, stuff starts to happen. Long term game = Win
Steem is up in price, post harder when it/if drops. This is a phase most go through. How much actual coin have you put in. For sure I have loads of posts that made nothing and a few that done well. Im not a good blogger a work in progress. Hang in there and experiment.

I agree. I've noticed diminished payouts due to the price rise as well. I just continue to post. Good luck. We know what you are going through.

Craig Grant says I become rich by posting on Steemit. I dont have any coin to put in LIKE 98% POSTING HERE THINKING THEY WILL GET PAID REAL MONEY.
That is, being told that posting on steemit is the new economy and if you make great posts it will pay off. I posted 42+ times, it looks like 12 pennies.
Ya got to build your rep, wont be instant unless your famous already. I thought that until my first big pay post, moved the steem to polo and sold it for BTC. It %100 works, but earning that steem aint easy. I have not made that much but have learned that I have alot to learn. Find a niche i guess, dudes make high earning posts on photos,food etc. Build your game, may not be instant but always know steemit is beta your way ahead of the curve already.
If you don't like steemit, just delete your account.
Never delete your account, think about it hard, no other social media offers a chance to get paid. that alone is reason to stay, even if things are not going as expected. That's if you like social media, if not then yes maybe exiting is best.

Harsh, but yes. There is a lot of #introduceyourself being used wrongly. It should be just once and only when you are ready to introduce yourself to Steemit, it doesn't have to be your first post though. Tags shuld be relavant to the post, not deceptive.

If you came to get rich without much effort you will fail. Steemit rewards good content and even then you have to work at building up a following and a reputation. I have been here just 18 days, had one post do over $200 and lots of others making decent payouts. If you can't make it work for you see what it is you are doing wrong.
Hit the nail perfectly. The rewards should be viewed as extra not the only reason to be here. it's the only social media to offer a chance at getting paid, that is reason enough to stay.
Patience is definitely the best word to describe what you need to succeed here.
Easy come easy go. I did almost two hundred post in three months for less than $2 ...... but persevered. As @tristan143 says...free choice. I am sure there is an MLM program out there that will promise you stellar returns in no time. Enjoy.
