Not sure what you mean by losing 50% over 7 days - this may be something I'm not aware of - but the very first upvote of a post is not part of the 75%/25% payout split. It goes 100% to the author. Whether you upvote yourself or I upvote you - you will get 100% of that first vote. I will get nothing, if I am your first upvoter.
