RE: A Steemit Retrospective as a Social Media Platform & Promotional Content for YOU to Use!

in #steemit6 years ago

It’s a double edged sword really, getting people in is one problem but the other one is keeping them here active and posting - so many drift away for whatever reason.

I don’t think the time it takes to create an account helps, but that is going to be addressed in future I believe.

hay dude. long time.... i thought it would have been sorted a while ago. i remember it took 48 hours give or take to set mine up... but i totally agree... you have to put the effort in to get anything out. ive been at it for touching a year on here, and with being consistent, i managed to kit everyone in my house out with all new PC's and some other stuff too. and on the flip side of that. made a ton of friends whom i respect. yeah, we dont have that instant log on and go aspect most other social media sites have, but if you are willing to stick to it. post up regularly, you will reap the benefits.
take a look at some you tubers, they can put up excellent content, but after 3 years, they are only just starting to get something in return. if you take a look at @negativespace for example, he produces brilliant and engaging content, and is now earning more than you and me combined, yet he has only been here since may. that is the true nature of this platform and why it is worth the time and effort to sign up and utilize it to your own benefit.
